Macchu Pichu is Peru’s most visited tourist attraction and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ruin has 140 constructions, including temples, sanctuaries, parks, residences and houses with thatched roofs. From the city of Cuzco it takes about 3.5 hours to get there by train, or a 2 to 4 day journey on foot from the Urubamba Valley up through the Andes mountain range. The trip involves having to sleep on tents and the traveler must be reasonably fit. The pictures of the ruins and the surrounding countryside are spectacular and one wonders how they managed to transport and built that for many years lost Inca city!

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

4. Machu Picchu is a great location because it has a flowing river at the bottom of the valley. But its not so good because it is an extreme environment. During the day in is extremely hot , however at night it gets extremely cold because its above cloud cover. This would have been part of the reason why the Incas left. ‘as a privilege site where Incas could go to worship nature’. I think this would be the reason because it is a beautiful place but it is really hard to get there so could be classifies as a privileged place.
5. History The ancient city of Machu Picchu was discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham Explorers found ruins of temples, palaces, fortresses, and a royal tomb. They found remains of the stone aqueducts that brought water into the city from over a mile away. They found remains of terrace gardens, and homes for farmers, nobles, and priests. They found wonderful pottery.
