3. Preaching with Compassion
Mat 9:35-38 ESV And Jesus went throughout all the cities and
villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of
the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. (36)
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they
were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (37) Then
he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are
few; (38) therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send
out laborers into his harvest."
4. Begins His Year of Opposition
What did Jesus Do during his Opposition?

1. He went throughout all the cities, He did not hide!
2. He taught on their turf.
3. Preached the Gospel of the Kingdom the church.

5. When He Saw Crowds
Mat 9:36 ESV When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them,
because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Splagchnizomai -- Thayer Definition: to be moved as to one’s bowels,
hence to be moved with compassion, have compassion (for the bowels
were thought to be the seat of love and pity)
Luk 10:33 NKJV But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where
he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.

What do We See?

7. When He Saw Crowds
Mat 11:28-30 NKJV Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls. (30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
