THE CHALLENGES:
Lyon College had recently imple-
mented a new, mobile-responsive
design populated with old content
from the previous website. They
recognized that their current web-
site may not measure up to current
best practices for higher educa-
tion institutions online. As a small
college, they did not have the
resources or expertise in place to
determine what issues existed and
needed to be addressed. They
were hesitant to make a financial
commitment to a full-scale audit
and strategy; EVG worked with
them to determine the best way
forward, which proved to be an
abbreviated audit.

THE SOLUTIONS:
EVG worked with Lyon College to identify their primary
goals for the website in addition to developing key
questions to be answered during the audit.
EVG DELIVERED:
• An audit and analysis of 50 unique URLs
• Audit and analysis of the website’s Google Analytics
• Audit and analysis of 50 keywords targeted by the client
• A strategy for how to address current website issues
• An executive summary of the audit analysis and strategy
• One spreadsheet detailing the audit
THE CLIENT:
Lyon College is a small, private college in Arkansas, growing their international presence,
as well as their sports program. EVG began work with Lyon in the summer of 2014.

Lyon College Case Study

  • 1. THE CHALLENGES: Lyon College had recently imple- mented a new, mobile-responsive design populated with old content from the previous website. They recognized that their current web- site may not measure up to current best practices for higher educa- tion institutions online. As a small college, they did not have the resources or expertise in place to determine what issues existed and needed to be addressed. They were hesitant to make a financial commitment to a full-scale audit and strategy; EVG worked with them to determine the best way forward, which proved to be an abbreviated audit. Lyon College THE SOLUTIONS: EVG worked with Lyon College to identify their primary goals for the website in addition to developing key questions to be answered during the audit. EVG DELIVERED: • An audit and analysis of 50 unique URLs • Audit and analysis of the website’s Google Analytics • Audit and analysis of 50 keywords targeted by the client • A strategy for how to address current website issues • An executive summary of the audit analysis and strategy • One spreadsheet detailing the audit THE CLIENT: Lyon College is a small, private college in Arkansas, growing their international presence, as well as their sports program. EVG began work with Lyon in the summer of 2014. Lyon College was established in 1872 and serves approximately 600 students.
