The puma lives in mountain biomes and eats animals like rabbits, deer, moose, elk, rodents, birds, and fox. It hunts through ambush attacks, jumping from cliffs, and running to catch prey. The puma is endangered due to habitat loss from deforestation and pollution, as well as overhunting. CITES helps protect endangered species like the puma by regulating international animal trades.
Porcupines are herbivorous rodents found in North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. They have sharp quills on their back, sides, and tail that act as a defense against predators. Female porcupines give birth to 1-4 babies that have soft quills at birth that harden after a few days. Porcupines spend much of their time in trees and use their tails to aid in climbing. They eat bark, stems, and have been known to chew on man-made items like canoe paddles. Their tracks show four toes on the front foot and five on the hind foot.
This document discusses several animals that are helpful to humans. It covers birds such as chickens and quail that provide food eggs. Mammals like horses, dogs, cows and sheep have historically helped with transportation, protection, food like milk and wool. Fish and sea creatures like octopuses and squid are eaten by people. Insects including bees, spiders and ladybugs are beneficial as bees produce honey, spiders kill other bugs, and ladybugs eat aphids. Butterflies also help pollinate flowers.
This document discusses different types of animals and how they interact with humans or live in the wild. Some animals like pigs, cows, and hens provide food and live on farms. Other animals like sheep provide materials for clothing. Pets like dogs and cats provide fun and company. Wild animals like elephants, giraffes and bears live independently in nature.
This document describes an animal guessing game where a series of animals are revealed one by one. For each animal questioned, the correct answer is provided, including a hamster, camel, polar bear, penguin, and kangaroo.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
