Lumana is a nonprofit organization that aims to alleviate poverty in rural Africa through education and entrepreneurship. They have been invited to become a lifetime member of GlobalGiving, a website that connects nonprofits with donors, if they can raise at least $4,000 from 50 donors by September 27th. Donors can support Lumana's project to help 25 Ghanaian women create jobs by donating a minimum of $10 online at GlobalGiving.org, in person by September 26th, or by mailing a check by September 24th. Other ways to help include attending a fundraising event, hosting a party, sharing information online, or becoming a Campaign Captain.

2. What is Lumana?Lumana’smission is to alleviate poverty in rural Africa through education and entrepreneurship. In the summer of 2008 we gave our first loans to 30 women in a small fishing village on the coast of Ghana.
