5 Reasons Why Bonding Is Important Luke Badini
Reason 1Most importantly, bonding is key to life. Without it we would all be dead. Elements need to be bonded to create water and air. Atoms are building blocks for all substances and without bonding, these would not be possible.
Reason 2Our favorite foods are made from bonding. Salt is made from bonding, imagine not having salt. Foods wouldn't be as enjoyable and early forms of preserving food would not be possible. Bonding gives us nutrients which enhances our lives.
Reason 3Chemical bonds are broken to supply us with energy. Without bonds, our ability to break them, the food we eat would not supply us with energy. Metabolism would not exist.
Reason 4Our DNA is made with the help of hydrogen bonding. Without it we would be a completely different. Hydrogen bonding is also very important in proteins and nucleic acids and therefore in life processes. Hydrogen bonds are also important because they hold together regions of large molecules, maintaining the shapes and functions of these important biomolecules.
Reason 5Bonding also helps categorize compounds. We use bonding to sort and define the huge massive number of compounds in the universe by characteristics beyond physical properties.
