THE GIOCONDA
Leonardo Da vinci was a recognized polymath who was
born in Florence, Italy born in 1452. His patron was Lorenzo
Medici, the Lord Protector of Florence. He worked as an
engineer, astronomer, painter, inventor and more. His
genius is a reference from The Italian Renaissance.
4. Famous works:
La Gioconda perhaps is the most
famous painting over the world, and a
representative icon of Da Vinci. Over
his mysterious face, many legends
have been woven.
As regard her smile, Da Vinci tried the following: if you
see at his eyed the smile will disappear (showing a
gesture full of bitterness), but if you see directly to her
mouth or other part of the painting you will see she
smiling.
5. The Vitruvian man is a drawing
representing the proportions of
the human body. The people
who studies anatomy considers
it as a symbol of human
symmetry and, for extension, of
the universe
But perhaps, the
most known
esculpture is “Il
Cenacolo”. Is a
portrait of the last
dinner of Jesus. Here
he tried to represent
the indviduals
reactions of each
disciple.

“OLD” Lufhtansa Airways
It’s a German company flight first founed in 1926.
At first, it only had 168 airplanes that only covered
the distance between Berlin (German) and Zurich
(Switzerland).
It was the 1º company in
exhibit movies durind the
flight.
It was used by the Nazi regimen for military transport
and to repair the planes of the Luftwaffe.
At the end of the WWII, it was
dismantled by the Allied Force
7. “NEW” Lufthansa Airways
It was re-founded in the 50’ after Germany’s economic
miracle and at the starting of the Cold War.
It conserved the same logotype and most of the old
employs.
It was the first company
in travelling to the
Communist Block from
the Capitalist Block. It
was in 1966
The first terrorist situation was in 1977, it was
perpetrated by 4 Rumanian terrorists. Fortunately, it
ended 5 hours after takeoff without victims. After that,
the company started to use armed agents.
Now is considered the biggest flight
company in the world since 2009,
with more than 500 airplanes in
service.
