It is an indication given to train operator for controlling the
movement of train.
On railways all over the world, signals are used to indicate
to the driver of the train how he should proceed. The driver,
using his knowledge of the line and of the train he is
controlling, will make a judgement about how fast he can
safely let his train go and will proceed accordingly.
