Thanksgiving Day is traditionally celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November. It originated from a harvest feast shared in 1621 between Pilgrims and Wampanoag Native Americans. Today, Thanksgiving is commonly celebrated with family and friends gathering for a meal that usually includes turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, as well as parades featuring balloons, floats, and marching bands in major cities like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
