4. In 1992, the Lublins made their first gift to
Lahey Hospital, establishing the Jane and
Richard Lublin Research and Endowment
Fund.

5. The Lublins’ relationship with Lahey Hospital
began more than 20 years ago. Jane was
experiencing back pain that stumped her local
physician. With help from Lahey
neurosurgeon, Dr. Stephen Freidberg, Jane
walked out of the clinic three days later - pain
free!

6. “Jane and I travelled to Lahey because we
knew we could get the highest quality medical
care with multiple specialists under one roof,”
added Richard. “Her Lahey physicians were all

7. Richard Lublin is prostate cancer survivor.
In 2003, the Lublins contributed to a urology
fund to support the research of John
Libertino, MD, Chair of Lahey Hospital’s
Urology department. His research explored
possible ways to inhibit tumor growth.

8. “We hope that it leads to dramatic
improvements in the care and possible cure of
prostate cancer. We want to contribute to the
solution and prevent others from having to
fight this insidious disease,” added Richard.
