LESSON PLAN 6<br />Room: ICT Room<br />Objective(s): At the end of the lesson pupils should be able to:<br />Identify at least 5 electrical appliances from the picture in Science textbook page 74 and 75 within a group of 4 to 5 members.<br />Create a poster of an electrical appliance creatively within a group of 4 to 5 members.<br />,[object Object]

These appliances use main electricity.Main electricity comes from power stations. The electricity is sent to homes, schools, factories all over Brunei Darussalam.Television, refrigerator air conditioners and microwave ovens are examples of appliances that use mains electricity.Set induction ( 5 min)The teacher will show a video of “Electrical appliances” that usually used in the house.Computer (for teacher use), Overhead projector, Video of “electrical appliances”Examples of question:What the video show?What are the similarities of the appliances in the video?Where the appliances get energy in order to be functioned?What are other examples of electrical appliances?Developmental stagesStep 1 (10 min)Q&A session.Question:Name the electrical appliances that you can find in the picture.Step 2 (10 min)In a group of 4 or 5, the students need to refer to their textbook page 74 and 75. On the A4 paper, within 5 minutes their needs to write the electrical appliances that they can find in the picture.After 5 minutes, the teacher collects all the papers and checks the answers together. The group with the most correct answers will be the winner.Science Textbook 4A4 papersThe questions are:What is it?Is it an electrical appliance? Why?Before this appliance has been created, how the people do their work without it?*get the picture the pastDo you think this appliance is important to us? Why?Step 3 (20 min)Within a group of 4 to 5, the teacher assigns a different electrical appliance to each group.The students need to find information from internet to answer four questions.Using the finding, they need to create a poster on an A3 papers.Picture of: IronWashing machineRice cookerFanRadio(Appendix 1)A3 papersStep 4 (20 min)Each group will be given 5 minutes to present their poster to the class. After the presentation, the peers will give their feedback and thumbs up or thumbs down.Step 5: Written work(10min)The students are asked to answer the written work individually.Class workRemedialEnrichmentQuestions:What is electrical appliance?Where the power comes from?Give examples of electrical appliance?Closure (5 min)Recap back the main point of the lesson through Q&A session.Appendix 1<br />
