3. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God,

10. “You can choose all of your friends, but God chose your
family to be your first friends. He chose your family. He
chose the first people for you to love. But then there is
Cain and Able – murder in the first family. They show how
far you can sink by not accepting God’s choice for you.”

11. Questions for Husbands and Wives:
1. Husbands – are you modeling your work as a husband
after Christ? Are you working hard to sacrifice – even
if it means you may die, your interests may die, your
hobbies may die, your heart may be broken, your
needs may not be met, your wants may not be
satisfied, or your sports game is missed ………

2. Wives – are you respecting your husband… in front of
your children…. Even if you don’t agree, even if he isn’t
like Christ, even if doesn’t meet expectations, even if…
Are you honoring him in public and with your friends?
3. Husbands and Wives – together, do you see your
mission before everyone to be the representatives of
God and His image?

1. How caring are your for your sibling?
2. How do you speak to them?
3. How do you share with them?
4. How do you pray for them?
5. How do you forgive them?
6. How do you serve them?
14. Questions for Sons and Daughters
1. How do you respect your parents in your speech?
2. How do you publically show them respect?
3. How do you speak about them behind their back?
4. How do you forgive them… even if they don’t
apologize?
5. How do you obey… even adult children – what can you
do?
6. How quickly do you listen to their council?
15. Questions for Parents… and Grandparents?
1. How are you Teaching, Talking, and Tying God’s Word
in your home and with your children… even with adult
children.
2. Are you reading Scripture regularly?
3. Are you attempting to memorize Scripture?
4. Are you talking through evolution, truth and other
worldview concepts with your children… younger the
better?
16. Questions for Parents… and Grandparents?
4. If the “church” is an expression of family… then how
does your family do the things you expect the church
and pastor to do? In other words – Your home IS the
East Troy Bible Church – You are God’s priesthood and
your home should be your children’s first and main
church. Home is the ultimate small group.
17. Questions for Parents… and Grandparents?
5. Is there prudent purpose to your punishment? Does it
have a discipleship and teaching element to it – or is it
a willy-nilly expression of your anger?
6. How do you investigate spiritual giftedness in your
children?
7. Are you eating together and using those meals for real
conversation… with all media turned off.
