ASCEND
Two males are seen laying on the floor of a forest,
the two of them then wake up and look around the area
in a disorientated manner.
JACK
Where am I?
(Jack whispers)
(Sounds of ambient environment around Jack)
TOM
Hello?
(Tom shouts)
JACK
Anyone here?
(Jack says in a modest voice, almost to himself)
TOM
Starts to walk around and explore his
surroundings.
JACK
(Examines the area fruitfully)
Tom and Jack start to explore their surroundings while
trying to discover more about why they are in their
situation and how they can try and escape it.
JACK
Walks cautiously around
Hears the sound of leaves rustling and the breaking of
twigs.
TOM
Hello?

(Softly)
As Tom begins to move around he hears more rustling of
leaves and noises of the ambient surrounding.
Tom starts to move towards the sounds and starts to
hear whispering all around him and then decide to move
out of this area.
TOM
What is this?
(Softly)
Scene Ends
Our two characters begin to move deeper into the forest
trying to discover more about where they are and why
they are there.
Jack
Finds a broken mirror on the floor and lifts it up and
looks into it with half his face showing and the other
half missing, Jack starts to hear voices in his head
and begins to question about himself and his past.
Jack hears the breaking of twigs and hastily turns
around to see to nothing being there, after this he
starts to question if anyone or anything is there of if
he is just hearing things.
Tom
Similarly to Jack starts to hear the breaking of twigs
and the movement of something and turns around to
inspect his area.
Is anyone there? (Tom says loudly)
After no response Tom moves closer to the source of
the sound.
Tom
Anyone? (Tom shouts desperately)

After moving closer to where he heard the sound Tom
finds an old Teddy bear, he picks it up and inspects it
and while doing so starts to hear the voices children
screaming in his head and hastily puts the Teddy back
on the ground.
End of the scene.
Having both found objects that prompted memories of
their past our two characters journey deeper into the
forest trying to discover more about themselves and try
to realize whether or no they are alone or someone else
or something else is with them.
Jack and Tom start hearing more and more voices which
make them question whether they are dreaming or whether
this is there reality.
Jack
Why am I here? (Softly to himself)
Jack puts his head into his hands while kneeling
onto the ground. As he does this he starts to hear more
and more whispering and instantaneously opens his eyes
and sees nothing.
Tom
Anyone? (Shouts)
Jack faintly hears someone shouting and decides to
shout back.
Jack
Hello? (Shouts)
