implemented its field sales mobile solution for 1,200 mobile users and 300

profile. In Brazil, the solution (which covers four business units and 18 brands),
has been running since January 2009. It serves 100 PDA users, 180 laptop users,
and 20 Web portal users. Retail visit planning and preparation are conducted
using mobile devices, and sales managers can dynamically allocate promotion
budgets. The mobile technology also allows field representatives to check on
stock visibility and suggest substitute products.
