• An essay with attitude: for those of you who
would like to hone your paper-writing skills for
college, we will be working on techniques to
make your writing more interesting, creative,
and powerful. *These are the techniques I wish
someone had taught me before I entered
college, not after I’d already graduated!*

• A creative writing piece: do you have an idea
for a piece of creative writing that would get
your message across?
• Missing scenes written as a script or
narrative
• A newspaper article written by a reporter
who has interviewed the surviving boys after
their rescue
• Other ideas?

• A poem (keep in mind, it would probably have
to be on the long side to get your message
