Look at Fig. 2 below - the dark color shows Goosecoid expression in normal 10.5 stage Xenopus embryos (uninjected), those with the Mink1 mutation (CRISPR edit = CR1 in figure), and Mink1 CRISPR edits but also with artificially injected -catenin. The researchers measured amount of expression based upon the total area of color (called "angle from center" in lower graph - higher numbers mean more Gsc). The researchers found that Mink1 mutants had elevated levels of GSK3 - why would that be important?.
