Locata has invented a technology that replicates a 
GPS satellite constellation – locally, on the ground 
So… for any area a customer wants to cover, Locata 
looks the same locally as GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, etc. 
In a suitable receiver, Locata is used in the GNSS 
navigation solution as “just another constellation” 
BUT CRITICALLY… 
The Locata “Local Constellation” is under local control, 
and may be deployed at any power, any frequency

The Company • Locata is an Australian Company • Founded by David Small and Nunzio Gambale in 1997 • Our company began when we walked inside with a GPS and it stopped working! • We knew even in 1997 this was a problem which HAD TO BE FIXED for future apps • We foresaw the problems satellite systems have to deliver very high accuracy and unfailing reliability indoors & in urban areas
  • 4. The Reality of GNSS The Problem Today GNSS coverage in modern applications has MANY HOLES!! “GNSS is like Swiss cheese… … it’s full of holes” Actual customer quote. How to fix this problem?
  • 5. Our Achievement A World First Locata is a new ground-based network delivering COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT POSITION, NAVIGATION & TIME exactly the same as GNSS IMPORTANT!! Locata is the first and only technology which can replicate GNSS – on the ground.

A New Technology = your own GPS Locata has invented a technology that replicates a GPS satellite constellation – locally, on the ground So… for any area a customer wants to cover, Locata looks the same locally as GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, etc. In a suitable receiver, Locata is used in the GNSS navigation solution as “just another constellation” BUT CRITICALLY… The Locata “Local Constellation” is under local control, and may be deployed at any power, any frequency or any density that your application needs.
