LOCAFIE is a community-based mobile application that allows users to share and track the real-time locations of transports like buses, trucks, and private vehicles. The app aims to solve problems with public transportation by letting people see where buses and other vehicles are located. It works by having individuals on transports share their location via the app, so others can track the transport's movement. Currently, over 150 volunteers at the International Islamic University Chittagong are helping others locate buses by sharing their locations while riding. The target markets for LOCAFIE include students, transport owners, and anyone who uses public transit or needs to track the whereabouts of family and friends.

Pioneering startups hope to beat the marketplace using distributed service models.
What kinds of new service models will be successful today and in the future? The Master in Interaction Design program at Domus Academy developed five concepts for new service businesses to answer this question: Style Map, Map.it, Show of Hands, Dimmi and Local Link.
My project team produced two of these concepts: Local Link and Style Map.
Local Link empowers the customer by making shopping omnipresent and using transition spaces for delivery and pick-up. It bridges local sellers and consumers who get access to high quality local produce not available in the city.
Style Map is an interactive lookbook that lets the consumer choose products and guides them with an optimized route leading to stores to try them on Style Map notifies stores so they can pull products ahead of time.
For the final phase of this project, we split into new teams to make the final booklet, presentation and website.
Kurogo Higher Ed Mobile Conference 2017: Taking Your Campus Transportation On...
Uber works with Modo Labs to integrate Uber transportation services into university mobile apps. This allows students to easily request Uber rides directly from their university's app. The integration benefits universities by reducing transportation costs and increasing app usage. It benefits students by providing a convenient, affordable, and safe transportation option on campus and for events. The integration process involves universities adding a special Uber request button to their mobile app that automatically opens the Uber app to request a ride when tapped.

NiMbLe aims to provide a trustworthy and punctual transportation service for kids' after-school activities. A survey found that over 50% of parents would use such a service but had concerns over trust and cost. NiMbLe proposes a solution with a fleet of child-friendly vehicles and well-trained drivers tracked by a system that allows parents to register kids, receive pickup/dropoff times, and monitor routes via an app or website. A prototype registration and tracking website is in development.

The Taxi Tracker app aims to help people get around London quickly by avoiding long wait times for taxis. The app will address this by showing occupied and unoccupied taxis nearby. A prototype will display taxis on a map and estimate arrival times to provide a better taxi-calling experience than standing and waiting with no information.
Grab Conceptual Task

The recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) present new methodologies for enhancing XML development workflows, introducing efficiency, automation, and intelligent capabilities. This presentation will outline the scope and perspective of utilizing AI in XML development. We will explore the capabilities of AI in understanding XML markup languages and autonomously creating structured XML content. Additionally, we will examine the capacity of AI to enrich plain text with appropriate XML markup. Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

- 3. Idea Everyday we go out for earning our livelihood and commute by different kinds of vehicles. But how conveniently we do it? In case of public transport, we have to wait for a long time not knowing where it is. Surely we can track it via GPS Device. But cost is a factor and most transport owners will not agree to bear the expense. Then what about your smartphone which has a GPS sensor? It’s time to grip that to knock out the dilemma! LOCAFIE, a community-based location sharing mobile application is born to make commuting a lot better experience. With LOCAFIE you can share or track real-time location of university bus, office bus, public bus, truck or even private vehicle carrying your friends, family and literally anything, and everything, anytime and anywhere. The way LOCAFIE works is one will share location and transport information via LOCAFIE from smartphone and everyone will see the shared details accordingly.

Problem So many problems we face when we don’t know the transport location and here is a few: ● A student awaits bus in picking point and doesn’t know whether it’s gone or about to come, gets tensed especially if there’s an exam or presentation or important deadline. ● When a service holder doesn’t know if s/he already missed the transport on the route or still stuck in traffic. ● You make a phone call to your bosom friend who assures you to reach the destination shortly but in reality he/she didn’t set out yet. No less than a disaster! ● When you realize your purse/ wallet/ mobile is missing after getting down and you are clueless of the current location of the transport. What can you do except cursing? ● Someone, advised by ticket man to buy ticket as the bus is approaching almost, keeps waiting for countless moments and has to ask the counter about the location in every 2 minutes. ● You’ve hired a taxi / CNG or board a bus & going through unknown route with almost missing heartbeat and your family member cannot trace your whereabouts. Very difficult scenario! The list goes on and on!!! Let’s jump out to solution.
- 6. Solution For every problem stated in the previous slide there is one solution coming, which is LOCAFIE. LOCAFIE uses a community of sharers and trackers to solve the problem. Someone on the transport will share their location via LOCAFIE for either letting their friends, parents or anyone track them. And everyone will be able to track the transport using the location info they share from the bus. Sometimes there might not be any reason for them to share except helping others to track the transport. It is currently active in International Islamic University Chittagong with 150+ volunteers sharing their location while in bus to help others track buses.
