My chosen title: Oblivion of youth
Reason for following this issue
One of the main reasons I have decided to make Young addiction my main focus for this
social action project is because I personally feel this issue is bigger than most people think it
is. This behaviour is happening all around us with no explanation or education on the
matter. I personally have an interest in this particular field and find it extremely interesting.
I researched and found very little social action videos on this material therefore that is why I
would like to put forward my own Social action video on Young addiction, in Oxfordshire.
I feel that my video can help others who suffer from young addiction, making them feel
welcomed and appreciative. My video will also raise awareness to others who have a very
little knowledge on what really goes on within young addiction.
Length of production
I aim to make my video around five to seven minutes long. However this may alter during
the filming process depending on how many interviews and facts I want my video to hold.
But also the quality of it all is enormously important. From my research I found out that
most social action videos(with a high budget and profession actors) last around 12 – 45
minutes.
Interviewees in production
I hope to interview a member of staff. Someone who does a lot to help the
community, what they go through and how they make a difference and why
they volunteer to do this? I also want to interview the police and public and if
possible someone who has battled with young addiction.
2. Production angle
Drug use In and out of Oxfordshire. How a young person’s choice of action can influence
someone to participate in this illegal crime. I also want to focus on what drove them to
lower themselves to a standard where their life is at risk but also their community
surrounding them. I feel that if I conquer this target the public will have a greater
understanding of this sad crime that is happening everywhere around the world.

3. Target Audience
The target audience for my film is aimed at children from the age of 9 - to elder people in
their 60’s. My video is an awareness video as well as notifying the issue of young addiction. I
want people (target audience) to understand the dangers of drugs especially the young
teens that may experience drug use in the future. I also have included elders in my target
audience as well as I know that elders sometimes feel violated threatened and unsure of
young adults who continuously do drugs and drinks alcohol on more than one occasion in
the local community. By making my target audience such a huge age gap it allows me to
explore a different more creative side to filming giving me more options and depth of
analysis. This also makes my social action video appropriate to pretty much all ages,
permitting my video to be shown either on TV, internet or print newspapers, however this is
just a college production.
Where your video will be uploaded
My video will be presented through my college blogger and YouTube. It will allow anyone to
access the video. There will also be a link to my blog address to view any other of my
previous work for this unit.
