2. When did ASOS start as a company?
ASOS was founded in June 2000 by CEO Nick Robertson, in North London.
ASOS, which stands for As Seen on Screen, has gone from a tiny start-up
fashion retailer to the UK's largest online fashion and beauty retailer.
ASOS started with a £2.3m seed capital from financier Andrew Regan and
Robertson's brother who was an entrepreneur based in Monte Carlo

3. How have Facebook evolved their
service over time?
In 2000 ASOS was a tiny start up fashion business, by 2004 ASOS had a
maiden profit of £120,000, with sales up 71% to £7m. They also launched
their own label for women.
In 2005, ASOS then launched their own beauty label called 'ASOS beauty'
and then by 2006 ASOS became the first online store to launch catwalk
videos which proved very popular among users.
In 2007, ASOS launched their own men's label which grew their audience. In
2010 ASOS developed ASOS mobile where users could buy from their
mobile devices and also they launched ASOS marketplace which is a buy
and sell page for ASOS users.
In 2011 ASOS launched the Facebook store which allowed users to buy
ASOS goods without leaving the social media site.
Now ASOS have worldwide sites and is one of the biggest market leaders in
the online fashion world.

4. How have ASOS's services adapted to
the digital era?
ASOS have very much adapted to the digital era developments over the time
its been running. ASOS have a website and an app that can be used, both
come with features such as 'wishlist' which is where users can save items
they want to purchase with a click of a button, interactive media has been a
massive development with the app and website as there's photos and
catwalk videos of the clothes that are available.
ASOS have sites worldwide which shows an adaption to the digital era as
the site is accessible worldwide, as well as in the UK. This comes hand in
hand with the app, the app is available on the app store and on Google play
which makes it available to anyone who has either an Android or Apple
device.

collaborated with?
ASOS have collaborated with big companies such as Primark but have also
collaborated with start up companies such as Zeekit. ASOS also collaborate
with designers such as Amie Robertson to create collections that ASOS sell.
However, ASOS use A list celebrities to help sell their clothes, Gigi Hadid,
Taylor Swift, Ella Eyre, Kourtney Kardashian and many more have been
seen in ASOS clothes which encourages an audience to purchase them.

Spain, Russia and Italy and also ships to over 140 countries from fulfillment
centres in the UK, US and Europe. This is a massive growth from the small
start up company it was to now a successful global incorporation.
