During the 2007-2008 school year, Lake Michigan Catholic Schools will focus their professional development on improving student achievement. Staff will work in Professional Learning Community teams to analyze data, implement best practices, use Understanding by Design, address state standards, and follow the Diocese curriculum. This will be done using a Plan-Do-Study-Act approach and a FISH! philosophy of play, presence, making others' day, and choosing attitude. The goals are to create a K-12 math curriculum map, parent guides, intervention plans, updated school improvement plans, and continuing education credits for teachers.
