- #5 So, let me share how far we’ve come…. We started in 1994 as a consumer dial-up Internet Service Provider. The genesis our name started in early 2000 because of our Fiber Transport business. As you may or may not know, we have hundreds of miles of fiber throughout Marion County, the surrounding counties as well as fiber to Anderson and Bloomington. We serve many cities, towns, and school districts. In 2003, we built the Capital Datacenter, which is located in the same building as our NOC. At that time, we also provisioned multiple 10Gig upstream connections to two NAP’s, one in Chicago and one in Ashford, VA. This enabled us to provide redundant upstream connections and compete on a national scale in terms of raw bandwidth and carrier diversity. In 2005, we entered the voice business and became a phone company – offering local and long distance services to local and national companies. Offering SIP services gave us a unique competitive differentiator in the local market. No other company of its kind, then or now, offers both – while at the same time being carrier diverse for network services. In 2007, we entered the Cloud Business with a true Enterprise Class offering. We’re finding that this is a great way for companies to buy computing as a service instead of buying traditional servers as a capital expense. Then in 2011, we built the biggest and best datacenter around to take the lead in the datacenter space. All in all, we started as a residential services company, but have grown our ability to serve small, medium and enterprise corporate America.
