Hi! My name is Kiona Pittman and I would like to introduce you to my company.
I have engaged this time to introduce you to the next best holiday trend. I am proposing a new company entitled Light Up the Night Decorators. Our mission is to restore the joy of the holidays. We decorate houses, both inside and/or out for most holidays, including Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving, as well as other events such as birthdays, graduations, or weddings at select venues. So many Americans cherish the comfort and tradition that accompanies every holiday season but many are swamped with the commercialization it carries. Light Up the Night Decorators works one on one with our clients to not only decorate their fantasy holiday homes, but also to restore the importance of family and enthusiasm on the holidays. We will design, set up and pack away any decorations we utilize, as well as advertise unique holiday décor to use year and year again.
Our most ideal customers are moms or elderly of middle to upper income earning families. Moms are traditionally the dominant force within the home and value family traditions. Also, according to a CBS report, 68% of women say they are in charge of holiday shopping, not to mention their other holiday duties. Moms are more likely to be stressed out during these times and are more in need of a time saver. The elderly home owners are physically limited to the decorations they can put up. We have professional equipment to put up any decorations in a timely and safe manner to resolve both of these obstacles. Most of our customers would belong in the middle to upper income families because they would have a high enough purchasing power to afford our services. Our main three competitors are Bright Lite Decorations, Elite Lite Designs and Deluxe Light Decorations. Bright Lite Decorations‘s strengths are that they decorate for more than just Christmas. They also do weddings. Although, they do not have as much information on their website or sponsors. Elite Lite Designs has a lot of partners and decorates in the both San Antonio and Austin, but they do not provide as diverse array of decorations as the others. The third is Deluxe Light Decorations. Although they only do Christmas, they provide a wide array of decorations, including inflatables and wreaths. We would out compete these companies by decorating many holidays including Halloween and other events. Also, we would provide a lot more types of decorations to pick from. Therefore, we are aiming for the top right of the perceptual map.
Our customers can view images of products we offer and pictures of our previous work on our helpful website. There would be an online store to purchase certain decorations that can be shipped anywhere needed or added to a specific decorating order. The process starts with a chat room for each customer to talk to their own associate to receive product and pricing information and communicate their wishes on the final product. This not only saves our clients time by saving them a trip to an office, but is convenient and easy to use.. Once the customer and associate have agreed on a plan, a team of decorators will be sent out to the location on the date agreed upon to assemble the decorations. We will work on the customers time so they don’t need to stress about working around a schedule. When the event has ended, another day can be agreed upon to have the clean-up team arrive at the location to take down and store any decorations we put up. After everything is done, the customer can go back onto our website to leave a review or any suggestions for future service. The website will be the full circle of distribution, preventing our customers from as much work as possible during a busy time of year.
As a newcomer to the decorating market, this company would decide to employ a penetration pricing strategy. Our prices focus on working with our customers and their financial needs to gain customer loyalty. We value returning customers and we would love to show we care. Customers can work with their designer to stay within a budget or select certain pieces of decorations they want us to design with so that they can pick their own price. On top of the decorations, the set up fees will be $8 an hour and $10 an hour for cleanup. As a new company, we are striving to expand our share of the market. As a special discount to attract new consumers, we will offer all first time customers free cleanups on their first three designs.
Our main promotional source will be our website. Our website contains all of the helpful materials to get our customers connected with us and provide information. Also, the clear depictions, titles and pictures will help our SEO plan by informing Google to associate our website for anyone looking for holiday decorators, especially in the San Antonio area. Currently, when you google “holiday decorators San Antonio”, no clear companies stand out. This would be our best opportunity to get our name out there. Our other main promotional strategy will be our weekly blog. This weekly blog will be on a separate website with a clear link to our main website, which will also help advance our SEO plan, by showing Google that we are linked. Our blog will be a weekly contest of our best designs, as well as showcases of our new and unique decorations and shout outs to our customers designs. This will help keep our customers connected with our name, excited to stay in contact, and familiar with our services/products.
San Antonio needs a company to make the special moments in our lives more memorable and you can help make that happen! Light Up The Night Decorators plans to accomplish this by removing the stress, time and cost required to decorate. We will make our customers the envy of their neighbors. Thank you!
