The five pillars of Islam are the foundation of the Islamic faith and include Shahadah (declaration of faith), Salat (prayer), Zakat (charity), Sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). The pillars are spiritual practices that are obligatory for Muslims and support the religion of Islam. If Muslims do not follow these pillars, they may be unsuccessful in their faith or not considered Muslims at all.
