LIAZ was a Czech truck manufacturer founded in 1951 as a subsidiary of Škoda. It became independent in 1953 but kept the Škoda LIAZ name until 1984. LIAZ operated several plants across Czechoslovakia and was the largest truck producer in the 1970s, manufacturing models like the Škoda 706, LIAZ 100, and LIAZ 400 Fox. Production ended in 2003 after the company faced financial difficulties.
