Lewis and Clark were American explorers who led the Corps of Discovery expedition from 1804 to 1806. Meriwether Lewis was born in 1774 and William Clark in 1770, making Clark four years older. Lewis tragically died in 1809 at the age of 35, just three years after completing the expedition with Clark.
