It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Tanner
Tasker. Mr. Tasker is a leader, extremely hard working, and a real go-getter. He would do
extremely well in your organization.
I have been involved higher education for over 25 years. In addition, I have served as a
University faculty member, program director, vice president, coach, and athletic director. I
have met and counseled many students. I hope my opinion of Mr. Tasker will be beneficial to
you and the Selection Committee as you evaluate this exceptional young man.
I first came in contact with Mr. Tasker during the fall semester of 2016 when he was a
student in my Sport Management Capstone class. During the course of the semester, he told
me he was most passionate about sport and athletics. It was apparent at the time that he was
highly motivated and would be an exceptionally strong student.
During the time I have known Mr. Tasker he has shown enthusiasm for learning, has
exhibited an eagerness for knowledge, and has been compassionate about serving the
community. In my class, Mr. Tasker was asked to participate in personnel management and
supervision, event management, sales, marketing, media relations, fundraising, and service
learning projects. He proved himself a leader among his peers and developed one of the best
projects in the class. His skills were apparent to all, as his peers often deferred to his
leadership skills during class presentations and projects. He received one of the best grades
in my class of over 50 students. Outside of class, Mr. Tasker is actively involved in
community service, volunteerism, and professional associations.
I know Mr. Tasker has great people skills, is highly motivated, and interested in a career in
the sport industry. Mr. Tasker is self-motivated, extremely positive, and very dependable.
He is an excellent student and has received a number of honors and awards. I have the
highest admiration for his achievements. I advise you to thoughtfully consider Mr. Tasker’s
application. I look forward to seeing him succeed in life.
