Theron Taylor believes that poverty and hunger should not exist in a powerful nation like the United States and that through local programs and volunteering, individuals can help lift those in unfortunate positions. He volunteers at a local food bank and homeless shelter in Tacoma, Washington to help address these issues. Along with others from The Tacoma Town Crew, he plans to develop a social media site this year to showcase programs that help the less fortunate.

Poverty and Hunger is something I believe should never happen. We speak of us being a
powerful nation and with this power there shouldn't be these issues. Sure there may be
choices that were made by individuals putting themselves in unfortunate positions. But I still
trust I , we can help lift them up.

I look to find ways to invest my time through programs that are geared in helping others less
fortunate.
