This document discusses various issues facing women and girls globally. It notes that over 35 million girls are still not in school, 40% of girls in India marry before 18, and 1 in 3 women experience abuse in their lifetime. Two-thirds of illiterate adults worldwide are women. Supporting policies like equal pay and getting small jobs for girls to stay in school could help empower women and girls. The document encourages supporting organizations helping victims of violence and promoting gender equality.
