The document describes the biblical Feast of Booths as outlined in Leviticus 23. It discusses that the feast is also known by other names that highlight different aspects of the celebration, including Tabernacles, Booths, and Ingathering. The feast involved Israelites living in booths or temporary shelters for seven days to commemorate God providing for them during their wilderness wanderings. It also looked forward to God continuing to protect and provide for his people as well as the future ingathering of nations. The feast celebrated the completion of the harvest and anticipated the coming of the Messiah to fully establish God's kingdom.
The passages from Leviticus 23 describe the Day of Atonement, a holy day of fasting and affliction where Israelites were to present food offerings to God. Anyone who did not fast or perform work on this day would be cut off from their people. The Day of Atonement brought Israel face to face with God's judgment for sin and the need for atonement through sacrifice to reconcile with God and cover sins. This ritual was fulfilled by Jesus' sacrificial death providing a permanent solution to the problem of sin and enabling fellowship with God.
The passages from Jeremiah 31 describe God establishing a new covenant with Israel that will be different than the Sinai covenant. The new covenant will involve God writing his law on their hearts and forgiving their sins so they will all know God personally. It will break the perpetual cycle of the people sinning and God punishing them. God's ultimate purpose is for the people to be holy as he is holy so they can be his people and he can be their God. The new covenant established through Jesus fulfills this by providing what was demanded - holiness and access to God.

The document discusses the importance of obedience based on biblical passages. It describes how Jesus was obedient even unto death. It then lists different areas where obedience is required, such as children obeying parents, workers obeying employers, and being obedient to civil authorities. However, the key message is that above all we must be obedient to God, as Jesus showed through his example by obeying God the Father even in suffering and death.
Caesar Augustus decreed a census that required Joseph to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem to register. While in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn. Shepherds in the fields were visited by an angel announcing Jesus' birth. They found Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus lying in the manger as the angel had described. The shepherds then spread the word about what they had witnessed.
Paul thanks God that through believers spreading the knowledge of Christ, the fragrance of Christ is spread everywhere. For those who are being saved, believers are the aroma of Christ, but for those who are perishing, the aroma is that of death. Paul acknowledges that no one is sufficient for this important task, so believers must speak from sincerity as those sent by God.
The document is a sermon about Hebrews 3:7-13 that discusses not hardening one's heart and hearing God's voice today. It provides commentary on verses 7-10, 16-19 noting how the Israelites rebelled in the wilderness and were punished. The sermon urges listeners to hear God today by visiting the sick, studying the Bible, not forsaking church, teaching others, giving, and living for Christ. It encourages Christians to exhort one another daily lest they become hardened by sin and discusses how believers are part of God's household if they hold fast to hope.
This document contains several Bible passages calling Christians to celebrate and rejoice, especially during festivals. It discusses the Festival of Booths, where Israelites lived in temporary shelters to remember God's provision in the wilderness. Nehemiah encouraged the people not to mourn but feast and share with others. There was great rejoicing during the dedication of Jerusalem's wall, with singing, music, and sacrifices. These passages from the Bible all refer to Jesus Christ and his divine nature. They describe Jesus' existence before creation, his role in creation, his identity as the son of God and ruler over Israel, his saving work on the cross and resurrection, and his provision of eternal life to believers. Taken together, these passages present biblical support for the Christian doctrine of the divinity and redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
The passage describes Jesus' encounter with Jews during the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem. When questioned if he is the Christ, Jesus points to his works which testify about who he is. He states his works are done in God's name and that his sheep hear his voice and follow him. The Jews attempt to stone Jesus for blasphemy, but he defends himself using scripture. Later, many come to believe in him after seeing the works he performed.
The Living Christ: The Testimony of the ApostlesGary Hasson
When the 11 Apostles of Jesus’s day met to choose a man to replace Judas Iscariot, Peter stated that the new Apostle must be “a witness with us of [Christ’s] resurrection” (Acts 1:22). Later, the record states, the Apostles “with great power gave … witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 4:33). The prophets, seers, and revelators of our day are also “special witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world” (D&C 107:23). They publicly declared their testimony in “The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles” on January 1, 2000.
The document contains prayers and passages from Psalm 92. It begins with a short prayer asking God to guide and protect His people. It then includes selections from Psalm 92 praising God for His works and righteousness. It closes with a prayer asking God to bless them with His Spirit and shape them for His purposes.
The document discusses how God makes covenants with humanity throughout history to guide them and bring salvation. God is actively involved in human affairs and shapes actions to bring people closer to him. When the original covenant was broken, God promised a new covenant through a savior, Jesus Christ, which Christians enter into through baptism. Unfortunately, like the Israelites, Christians often take their covenant with God for granted and fail to recall the promises made in baptism. Nourishing faith through prayer, worship, and adherence to God is important to strengthen the covenant relationship.

In heaven we will sing God's praises for eternity, as we will have been saved by God's grace.
The passage encourages Christians to draw near to God with confidence through Jesus, their great high priest. It exhorts them to hold firmly to their faith and spur one another on through love and good works. They are instructed not to abandon meeting together but to encourage one another, especially as the day of the Lord draws near.
The document discusses how God's Word is life, power, and the judge of humanity. It provides several biblical examples to support this, such as how God spoke life into dead bones in Ezekiel and how his words created the world. It encourages spending time reading and studying the Bible daily so that one can get to know the judge and be judged favorably, as the Bible is living, active, and sharper than any sword. It emphasizes that God has given us everything we need through his word.
The document outlines 5 obstacles to having a relationship with God: 1) Not knowing about God, as shown in Acts 17:22-32 and Hebrews 11:6. 2) Refusing to repent, as shown in John 16:8-11 and Romans 2:5-8. 3) Neglecting obedience, as shown in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 and John 15:14. 4) Rejecting Jesus Christ, as shown in John 15:23, 3:36, and 14:6. 5) Not listening to or talking to God through prayer, as shown in Hebrews 4:16 and 1 John 5:14. The document discusses the experiential approach to spirituality that grew in the 19th-20th centuries based on a believer's new identity in Christ. A study of who Jesus is according to the Old Testament and the New Testament. His life on this earth was short even though His goal was monumental, to seek and save that which was lost. He accomplished His goal by paying the price for our sins which we as sinners could not pay. Take a little time to learn about our Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ.
We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. We are blessed for doing God's work. We are to speak and do. Faith without works is dead. Faith is shown by our works.
The document discusses three major ways Christians can overcome the world: prayer, faith, and developing Christ-like character. It provides biblical examples for each: prayer involves asking God for help and trusting his response; faith means believing God's promises without doubting; and character focuses on living with love, righteousness, holiness and seeking God above all else. The overall message is that through relying on God through prayer and having faith in him, and striving to become more like Christ in character, believers can overcome sinful desires and withstand worldly influences.
This document contains multiple Bible passages discussing various spiritual topics such as baptism after salvation, church attendance, hell, thoughts, Bible study, the fear of God, and street preaching. The passages provide guidance on fulfilling righteousness through baptism, the importance of not forsaking church assemblies, the torments of hell, bringing thoughts into obedience to Christ, studying scripture to gain wisdom and salvation, revering God through obedience, and proclaiming God's word publicly.
The document is a sermon that argues the Lord demands total commitment from his followers. It provides numerous Bible verses showing Jesus requires disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him above all else. The sermon warns that half-hearted commitment is not enough and that Christians must surrender all things to serve the Lord fully.
Paul addresses the elders from the church in Ephesus and reviews how he served the Lord humbly despite facing trials from Jews who plotted against him. He declares that he faithfully preached the gospel of repentance and faith in Jesus to both Jews and Greeks. Paul states that he is compelled by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, knowing that imprisonment awaits him, but his focus is on finishing his mission of testifying to God's grace. He warns the elders to guard themselves and the flock from false teachers.

Ha69-10252015 Why I love the church of Christ Part 9James Bradshaw
Sunday Morning slides October 25, 2015 at the Heritage addition church of Christ located in Booneville, Arkansas. I love the church of Christ because of her worship
The document discusses the place or scope of the Great Commission given by Jesus. It provides several biblical references that indicate the Commission's message was meant for all nations and peoples. Key points made include: (1) Jesus' words in the Gospels emphasize the Commission applies to all the world, not just Israel; (2) the early church demonstrated this global scope by spreading the gospel widely; (3) there are no distinctions in Christ - all can be saved through faith regardless of ethnicity, gender, or status. The Commission's place is truly all the world.

“The Kind of Preaching That Pleases God”Don McClain
This document examines what constitutes successful preaching according to God rather than popular measures. It profiles several preachers in the Bible like Noah, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul, Peter and Stephen. All faced opposition but faithfully proclaimed God's message of repentance, judgment for sin, and salvation through obedience. True preaching pleases God by upholding sound doctrine instead of popular fables and applies scriptural teachings to modern issues while opposing false teachings.
“The Nature of Saving FAITH” (2)— (Romans 3:19-5:5) In Romans 4 Paul is contrasting two opposing SYSTEMS, “FAITH & WORKS.” The “works” system cannot save a sinner because it demands perfection - and no amount of work can undo the sinners sin. The “Faith” system on the other hand implements forgiveness through Jesus thus providing justification on the grounds of God’s grace. Abraham was justified by the system of faith, not by the system of perfect Law keeping. But what kind of FAITH does the system of faith require? What KIND of FAITH did Abraham Have? - 2/26/2017

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
