The Year 5 students at Windhoek International School will begin a new unit of inquiry on how cities change over time. They will explore why people migrate between rural and urban areas and how cities evolve through buildings, culture, and entertainment. Students from several countries provided feedback on recent lessons:
- A student from Latvia enjoyed the interesting tasks and lessons, and wanted to learn more about other students' stories and pictures.
- A Belgian student liked the different activities and being able to talk about their life, but did not enjoy having to present in front of the class.
- Another Belgian student enjoyed learning about other classmates and countries, but disliked that some students were not listening and showing respect.
- The students generally found the lessons fun and interesting, and wanted to continue similar lessons to learn more about each other's lives and cultures.
