Objectives:
 Students will be able to:
1.Identify the shape of the circle.
2.Identify two properties of the circle.
oPre-Math:
 Teacher shows the student several
shapes.
 Teacher asks students how the shapes
differ.
 Students start telling the teacher their
answers and opinions.
 Teacher writes the word circle on the
board and hangs the shape beside it.
oDuring math:
 The teacher plays the audio.
o Why was the circle crying? Because a
triangle called her pointless.
o Why are circles so hot? Because they are
360 degrees.
 The teacher repeats the jokes with the
students.
 The teacher asks the students about what
the girl said about the circle in the audio.
 The students give the teacher their
answers.
 The teacher may help the students:
o How many points does the circle have?
o Is the circle cold?
o Why it is not hot?
 The students then conclude the two
properties of the circle:
o The circle is pointless.
o The circle is 360 degrees.
o Post-Math:
 The teacher distributes on the students a
worksheet.
 The students are given time to solve the
sheet.
 Each student correct the sheet for his
desk mate.
 The teacher then corrects the sheet with
the students.
