As this presentation his an overview on LinkedIn and networking internationally, I’m going to jump from the executive summary to how to build a network. However I want to advice to follow LinkedIn instructions to build your complete LinkedIn profile, including experience, success stories, results and then add education, languages, certifications, awards and publications if you have some. Don’t forget to add a winning picture!!

Slide 21: Ready to build your LinkedIn network! LinkedIn is offering In Mail which allow you to contact any connections you may have. I recommend to use in Mail with tact. There are methods for getting introduced to people, both on LinkedIn and in person which is better. And I highly recommend getting introduced to someone before you reach out to them cold. However, if you're a recruiter or someone interviewing for a new position, you can contact people direclty. So, InMails might be your only option. And, if that's the case, that's fine. But don’t forget to introduce briefly yourself before! So In mail are a good option to generate traffic and leads.
