the company owns and operates approximately 1,900 rooms across 18mid-scale
hotels across India.
• Lemon Tree Hotels was founded by Mr. Patu Keshwani in 2002. The first Lemon Tree
Hotel opened in Gurgaon in June2004. It is in Udyog Vihar with 49rooms
• Lemon Tree Hotels Private Limited (LTHPL)is the parent company which owns the
Lemon Tree Hotels brand
• Headquartered in New Delhi
• The three associate brands under the parent company.

The Hotel has a cozy and homely felling about it which is something customer’s like
Indian cultural and geographical diversity pulls tourism
The Hotel has extremely friendly staff (They have particular staff in yellow ribbons). This staff is especially present to solve grievances of people
The Lemon tree group believes in providing the ultimate refreshing experience.
• Weakness
No presence in 2 of the Largest Metros i.e. Mumbai & Kolkata
Newer in the industry hence less market share
Lesser in terms of hospitality experience compared to market leaders

MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions )– Lemon tree has its its presence in important cities like Bangalore where Meeting and conferences can be

• Directs the maintenance of ledgers, journals, accounts receivable, revenue
depreciation, Operating Expense, Insurance etc.
• Direct the preparation and filing of returns for sales tax, Income tax, Excise and
other forms of taxes and charges. Directs internal audits involving review of
accounting and administrative controls.
• Establishes systems controls for and procedures for financial and accounting
systems to achieve corporate objectives.
• Directs installation and maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory,
property and related procedures and controls.
• Coordinates preparation for external auditing and external reporting.
• Oversee bank work regarding documents, inward/outward remittances etc.
• Implementation of CSA (control self-assessment) is an effective tool to perform
control over the employee performance
• Diagnosing, defining and identifying the problem.
• The internship with lemon tree hotels, has been a great experience worth
having .my duties and takeaway during this internship are;

• The work environment of the organization is satisfactory and highly appealing.
• For the smooth functioning of the organization employees are provided with
the periodical training. The administrative staffs are being provided training for
the new tax system that is GST.
• It is a well-established hotel group in South India.
• Lemon Tree Hotels had won various awards and recognitions Nation Tourism
Award State Pollution Control Board Award, state Tourism Award.
• In order to overcome the revenue loss, they were trying different strategies for
promoting the 3 different restaurants i.e. Mosaic, Trilogi, Aroma.
• The hotel was trying to reduce the cost of production. And they were analyzing
the prices of different vendors and selecting the one who provides items for
low price and provides more credit limit
FINDINGS
• In every week one day that is usually Saturdays they can wear casuals as
compared to the formals which they are wearing every day.
• The timing of the employee is 9 hours starting from 9:00 to 6:00. It is not
mandatory that he should work in this time he can work according to his wish
but he is required to complete this cycle.
• The core values are the main attraction of the organization.
• The organizations core philosophy is followed both in the letter and in spirit.
• The employees are satisfied with the welfare facilities provided by the
organization.
• The management provides free food and accommodation for the employees
who are working there.
FINDINGS
• It is suggested to reduce work time for F&B (Food and Beverage) Service and
Housekeeping Department.
• Improve the pay package of employees as per the industrial demand which in
turn retain highly skilled employees
• It is suggested to give some allowances or benefits to those employees who are
not taking free accommodation provided by the company.
• It is suggested to follow the timing of the work correctly and not keeping the
employees for work after their shift.
• More recreational programs should be conducted so that stress of the
employees can be reduced.
• There should be open relationship between the employer and the employee.
SUGGESTIONS
• Work load of the employee should be reduced by appointing new employees
• Should provide more incentives to the employees who are performing well.
• Additional incentives should be provided for the staff for the over time that
they are working.
SUGGESTIONS
• During my internship period, I worked in two different departments: Finance
Department and Human Resource Management and tried to gather knowledge
from each of them.
• The Lemon Tree Hotel Company shall be India’s largest and finest chain of
upscale, mid-scale and budget hotels and resorts.
• The study conducted at Lemon Tree Hotels Gachibowli, Hyderabad. it has
also succeeded in rendering a clearly understood from this study.

  • 14. • The work environment of the organization is satisfactory and highly appealing. • For the smooth functioning of the organization employees are provided with the periodical training. The administrative staffs are being provided training for the new tax system that is GST. • It is a well-established hotel group in South India. • Lemon Tree Hotels had won various awards and recognitions Nation Tourism Award State Pollution Control Board Award, state Tourism Award. • In order to overcome the revenue loss, they were trying different strategies for promoting the 3 different restaurants i.e. Mosaic, Trilogi, Aroma. • The hotel was trying to reduce the cost of production. And they were analyzing the prices of different vendors and selecting the one who provides items for low price and provides more credit limit FINDINGS
  • 15. • In every week one day that is usually Saturdays they can wear casuals as compared to the formals which they are wearing every day. • The timing of the employee is 9 hours starting from 9:00 to 6:00. It is not mandatory that he should work in this time he can work according to his wish but he is required to complete this cycle. • The core values are the main attraction of the organization. • The organizations core philosophy is followed both in the letter and in spirit. • The employees are satisfied with the welfare facilities provided by the organization. • The management provides free food and accommodation for the employees who are working there.   • 16. • It is suggested to reduce work time for F&B (Food and Beverage) Service and Housekeeping Department. • Improve the pay package of employees as per the industrial demand which in turn retain highly skilled employees • It is suggested to give some allowances or benefits to those employees who are not taking free accommodation provided by the company. • It is suggested to follow the timing of the work correctly and not keeping the employees for work after their shift. • More recreational programs should be conducted so that stress of the employees can be reduced. • There should be open relationship between the employer and the employee.
