Legal Issues in Interviewing
For the first question about where were you born I would rephrase that to are you able to
provide legal documentation to work in the United States if hired. For the second question about
incarceration insult instead of asking if he got those in prison I would rephrase that to have you
ever been convicted of any thing such as fraud, felonies and so forth. For the third question
elderly error I would rephrase that question to are you over the age of 18 instead of asking how
old you are. For the fourth question medical muddle I would rephrase that question to are you
able to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
For the fifth question offspring offense I would ask if they was are available to work overtime
sometimes and if they could travel if needed to. For the sixth question marriage mishap I would
ask if they have ever worked or earned a degree under another name instead of are you married.
For the seventh question language louse-up I would ask what kind of languages do they read,
speak and write fluent instead of guessing where they are from. Instead of asking if she is
planning on taking off for the birth of her baby he could change his words and ask what her long
term career goals are. Another question would be to ask her in case of an emergency who should
we notify also. Instead of asking them to what race they are I think it would be better to just ask
if they are a U.S. Citizen. For the last question number 10 religious ruckus instead of asking what
religious holidays she will plan to take off for I would ask instead if she was able to work with
the required schedule. From what I have learned and understand none of the questions asked in
the video are completely valid to ask in an interview. If someone would ask me these question
during an interview similar to the one in the video I would probably not answer them. I would
say these are illegal questions and I prefer not to answer them could we go on to the next
question please and if I did not get the job because I did not want to answer the question that

was illegally asked I would probably go talk to the manager above whoever did the interview
about the situation and see if something got done and if that didn't work I would take it hirer up.

Legal Issues in Interviewing 2 Legal Issues in Interviewing For the first question about where were you born I would rephrase that to are you able to provide legal documentation to work in the United States if hired. For the second question about incarceration insult instead of asking if he got those in prison I would rephrase that to have you ever been convicted of any thing such as fraud, felonies and so forth. For the third question elderly error I would rephrase that question to are you over the age of 18 instead of asking how old you are. For the fourth question medical muddle I would rephrase that question to are you able to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. For the fifth question offspring offense I would ask if they was are available to work overtime sometimes and if they could travel if needed to. For the sixth question marriage mishap I would ask if they have ever worked or earned a degree under another name instead of are you married. For the seventh question language louse-up I would ask what kind of languages do they read, speak and write fluent instead of guessing where they are from. Instead of asking if she is planning on taking off for the birth of her baby he could change his words and ask what her long term career goals are. Another question would be to ask her in case of an emergency who should we notify also. Instead of asking them to what race they are I think it would be better to just ask if they are a U.S. Citizen. For the last question number 10 religious ruckus instead of asking what religious holidays she will plan to take off for I would ask instead if she was able to work with the required schedule. From what I have learned and understand none of the questions asked in the video are completely valid to ask in an interview. If someone would ask me these question during an interview similar to the one in the video I would probably not answer them. I would say these are illegal questions and I prefer not to answer them could we go on to the next question please and if I did not get the job because I did not want to answer the question that
