Secretary Sara Z. Duterte announced that
starting Jan. 12, 2024, it will be "catch-up
Friday" weekly that will focus on improving
basic education learners’ reading and
writing skills.

11. LAC Session Objectives:
1. Orient teachers on the implementation of the
school’s reading program.
2. Identify reading strategies that can be integrated
during classroom instruction.
3. Capacitate teachers to become effective reading
teachers.
