A servant leader helps foster each person's emotional and
spiritual health wellness.

Good leaders rely on persuasion,
rather than their authority in making
decisions. They seek to convince
others, rather than coerce
compliance.
This particular element offers one of
the clearest distinctions between the
traditional authoritarian model and
that of servant-leadership.
The servant-leader is effective at
building consensus within groups

A good leader needs to balance present realities
They nurture their abilities to: "dream great
dreams."
The ability to look at a problem (or an
organization) from a conceptualizing perspective
means that one must think beyond day-to-day
realities.
They must seek a delicate balance between
conceptualization and day-to-day focus

developed sense of intuition about
how the past, present, and future are
connected.
Foresight is a characteristic that
enables servant-leaders to understand
lessons from the past, the realities of the

organization's resources in trust for the greater good

The Servant Leader 4 Servant-leaders are individuals of character, put people first, are skilled communicators, are compassionate collaborators, use foresight, are systems thinkers, and exercise moral authority. Servant leadership emphasizes collaboration, trust, empathy, and the ethical use of power.
  • 5. The Servant Leader 5 “The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural inclination that one wants to serve. Then a conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead”. The Alpha of the Wolf Pack is at the rear overseeing his family

  • 8. The Servant Leader- Empathy 8 A leader needs to understand others' feelings and perspectives. People need to be accepted and recognized for their special and unique spirit.
  • 9. The servant Leader - Self-awareness 9 A strong leader understands his or her own personality including, strengths, weaknesses, beliefs, motivation and emotions.   • 10. The Servant Leader- Healing 10 A servant leader helps foster each person's emotional and spiritual health wellness.
  • 11. Attributes of the Servant Leader 11 Good leaders rely on persuasion, rather than their authority in making decisions. They seek to convince others, rather than coerce compliance. This particular element offers one of the clearest distinctions between the traditional authoritarian model and that of servant-leadership. The servant-leader is effective at building consensus within groups
  • 12. Conceptualization 12 A good leader needs to balance present realities They nurture their abilities to: "dream great dreams." The ability to look at a problem (or an organization) from a conceptualizing perspective means that one must think beyond day-to-day realities. They must seek a delicate balance between conceptualization and day-to-day focus
  • 13. Foresight 13 A good leader needs to have a well- developed sense of intuition about how the past, present, and future are connected. Foresight is a characteristic that enables servant-leaders to understand lessons from the past, the realities of the present, and the likely consequence of a decision in the future.
  • 14. Stewardship 14 A servant leader is a steward who holds an organization's resources in trust for the greater good of all. The CEO, Directors and all staff play significant roles in holding their institutions in trust for the greater good of Society
  • 15. Growth of your People 15 A servant leader is responsible for serving the need of others. They believe that people that people have an intrinsic value beyond their tangible contributions as workers. They are committed to the personal, professional, spiritual growth of all their team.
