By Mark Keller Latin Business Chronicle is proud once again to presents its annual list of the Top 50 Businesswomen working in or with Latin America. Once again, our list of women come from diverse backgrounds, including technology, investment banking, hospitality, logistics, transportation, oil and gas, automotive, and insurance. We have women who climbed the corporate ladder to the top, women with long careers in public service, and women who have taken the helm at family companies from their husbands or fathers. These women are changing the dynamics and look of corporate boards in the region that have long been dominated by men. While Latin American women have achieved parity in healthcare and education – half the region’s university graduates are now women – the picture is much less rosy in the business world. Women account for only 10.5 percent of all board positions globally – a number experts say is even smaller in Latin America. Given these challenges, the achievements of those in our group are even more extraordinary. This group includes Maria das Graças Silva Foster, CEO of Petrobras, Latin America’s largest company by revenues according to our Latin 500. It also includes Claudia Sender, CEO of TAM, currently in the process of merging with LAN to create Latin

3. America’s largest airline. It also includes Brazilian “hospitality queen” Chieko Aoki, and champion of female empowerment in Mexico, Angélica Fuentes. The diverse origins and trajectories of these women’s careers show what can be achieved by women from Latin America, or those with careers working with the region. All can serve as role models for what can be achieved, and are helping to create a more equal business climate in the region. This year for the first time our list includes the educational background of the women in question, showing the strong importance of education for women in reaching the top. We share with you our list of the top 50 women in business, and encourage you to get to know them too. A Carmina Abad CEO, MetLife Mexico Carmina Abad is CEO for Mexico for U.S. insurance giant MetLife, a role she has held since March 2010. She was the first woman to lead a MetLife subsidiary in the world, and the first in Mexico to lead a major insurer. Abad is also head of the MetLife Foundation in Mexico, and has led philanthropic programs aimed at promoting female empowerment and financial inclusion. Abad holds a Bachelor's degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and completed post graduate studies in Senior Management from Mexico's IPADE business school. Cate Ambrose President and Executive Director, Latin American Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Ambrose leads LAVCA, a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting the growth of the private equity and venture capital industry in Latin America. Member firms control assets in excess of $60 billion, directed at capitalizing and growing Latin American businesses. LAVCA also collaborates with a range of partner organizations dedicated to developing the industry through capacity building, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Ambrose holds an MPA in International Economic Policy from Columbia University, and received her BA in Latin American studies from St. Lawrence University and the Universidad de Madrid. Chieko Aoki CEO, Blue Tree Hotels Often dubbed Brazil’s “queen of hospitality,” Aoki serves as CEO of Blue Tree Hotels, a company she launched in 1997. Aoki studied law at the Universidade de São Paulo, and over the past 15 years, Aoki has transformed the Blue Tree Hotels into one of the largest chains in Brazil, a country with a burgeoning tourism sector. This year, the company expects revenues of $164.8 million – a 6.4 percent increase over 2013. María Asunción Aramburuzabala CEO, Tresalia With a fortune of $5 billion, Aramburuzabala is Mexico’s richest woman. She is also the CEO of Tresalia Capital, a group she founded with her sister and mother after the unexpected death of her father to protect their stake in Grupo Modelo, Mexico’s largest beer manufacturer that was founded by her grandfather. While the group sold its shares in Grupo Modelo to Anheuser-Busch InBev last year,Tresaliacontinues to have investments in diverse industries, and provides venture capital for startups. Aramburuzabala studied Accounting at the InstitutoTecnológicoAutónomo de México, and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. She was the first woman to sit on the Board of the Mexican Stock Exchange. B Mary Barra CEO, GM

4. Mary Barra is the CEO of General Motors since January 2014, and the first female CEO of a major global automaker. Barra graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Kettering University in Michigan, and received an MBA from Stanford. Barra has spent her entire career at GM since the age of 18, rising through the ranks in several administrative and engineering posts before becoming VP of Global Manufacturing Engineering in 2009. Earlier this year, she was chosen as CEO of the world’s second-largest automaker, which operates in 66 countries worldwide, and with a large market in Latin America. Katia Bouazza Co-Head of Global Capital Markets for the Americas, HSBC Since 2011, Bouazza has headed HSBC’s debt origination business across the Americas, after a long career with the bank as the face of the firm’s debt capital markets team. Her position has helped make HSBC a leader in Latin American bond sales, and she is well-known among business leaders in Latin America who seek investment from new markets in Europe and Asia. She has long been recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women in Finance by publications such as American Banker. Ursula Burns Chairman &CEO, Xerox Burns is Chairman and CEO of global technology giant Xerox, a role she’s held since 2009. Burns is the first African- American female CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and the first woman to assume the role from another woman. Burns began working with Xerox in 1980 as a mechanical engineering intern, and later worked in product development and planning, climbing the ladder through several leadership positions in product development and planning. In addition to serving as Chairman and CEO of Xerox, Burns also sits on the boards of American Express and Exxon Mobil. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, and a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. C Adriana Cisneros CEO and Vice Chairman, Cisneros Group Since August 2013, Cisneros has been head of the Cisneros Group, a private media, entertainment, telecom, and consumer products conglomerate. Their largest property is Venevision, Venezuela’s largest private television network in Venezuela, and one of the largest producers of Spanish-language television content in the world. Cisneros also oversees a socially responsible tourism development group in the Dominican Republic. She holds a BA from Columbia University, a Masters in Journalism from NYU, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Marta Clark VP Latin America and the Caribbean, Adobe Clark, a native Colombian, is Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean at Adobe, the U.S. multinational software company. She oversees the company’s offices in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, coordinating sales and digital marketing and media efforts. Since joining the company in 1998, Clark has been at the forefront of software and technology development in Latin America – a region where IT sales double the global average. Clark has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the PolitécnicoGrancolombiano, and participated in Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management’s Woman Senior Leadership Program. María Eugenia Coronado CEO Colombia & Regional Manager Andean Region, Gas Natural Fenosa Coronado was promoted to Regional Manager for the Andean Region (Colombia and Peru) for Spanish multinational Gas Natural Fenosa in August 2013, as well as serving as CEO of Gas Natural Fenosa in Colombia, a role she has hadsince May 2011. The Spanish multinational was Latin America’s 61tst largest company in 2013, with revenues of $8.7 billion. In Colombia the company has almost 4.5 million customers and 2,125 employees. Coronado has an MBA from Georgetown University.

5. Ivanyra Correia CFO, Zurich Brasil Correia has been CFO of insurance giant Zurich’s Brazil operations since March 2014. Before this she had a long career in finance, including serving as CFO for Latin America and Asia at Penske Logistics for almost six years. She has broad experience in M&A and investor relations, and as an investment banker advised companies in different industries in M&A processes and as an industry executive conducted three acquisitions and one sale. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Production Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Isela Costantini President, GM Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay A native Brazilian, Costantini became President and Executive Director of GM Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay in 2012, becoming the first female head of local operations for a major automaker. She assumed the role after 13 years with the company, largely in Brazil and the United States. Her first year at the helm saw record car sales in the region, and a large increase in client satisfaction. She is also the current vice president of Argentina’s Association of Automobile Manufacturers, ADEFA. Costantini holds a Bachelors in Communications from the PontifíciaUniversidadeCatólica do Paraná in Brazil, and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. D Susana de la Puente Senior Advisor, Hypatia Capital Group De la Puente is a Senior Advisor at Hypatia Capital Group in New York. Until early 2007, she was Vice Chairman for Latin America and the Caribbean at J.P. Morgan. In her current role, she advises several asset management companies operating in emerging markets. She has been recognized by several publications for her excellence in Latin American business. She holds a Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad delPacífico in Peru, and an MBA from the Hult International Business School in Boston. Marcela Drehmer CFO, Odebrecht Drehmer became CFO of Odebrecht in June of 2013 after serving as CFO of Odebrecht subsidiary Braskem. Odebrecht, the Brazilian holding company heavily involved in the construction and petrochemical industries, is Latin America’s ninth largest company with $37.4 billion in revenues in 2012. Drehmer began her career in finance in New York, and has a graduate degree in finance from Brazil’sInstitutoBrasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC). Sonia Dula Vice-Chairman for Latin America, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Dula was named to her position in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division in late 2013. Before this, she was head of Latin America Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch. She has a long history in investment banking, and previously served as CEO of Grupo Latino de Radio and CEO of Telemundo Studios Mexico. Dula was born in Mexico and raised in Brazil. She holds a Bachelors in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University. E Adriana Echeverri Vice-President, Strategy, Ecopetrol Echeverri is VP of Strategy at Colombian state oil company Ecopetrol, a role she assumed in May 2013. Before this she served as CFO of the company since 2007. Ecopetrol is one of Latin America’s largest petroleum companies, and the eighth largest company in the region. The CFO received an MBA from Colombia’s Universidad Externado and speaks five languages.

6. Sylvia Escovar Gómez CEO, Terpel Escovar became CEO of Terpel, Colombia’s largest gasoline and oil derivatives retailer, in 2012 after 10 years with the company. Terpel is the third-largest company in Colombia by revenues, and the 101st in Latin America. Escovar holds a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, with studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, and began her career in the public sector. F Iris Fontbona Owner, Grupo Luksic Fontbona is the richest woman in Chile and the owner of GrupoLuksic, a Chilean consortium with revenues of $13.8 billion in 2014, which was founded by her late husband AndronicoLuksic. The company holds stakes in diverse industries, but its prize possession is Antofogasta, one of the largest copper mining companies in the world. Fontbona is the richest woman in Latin America with a personal fortune of $14 billion according to Forbes. Anayda Frisneda General Manager Microsoft Dynamics, Latin America Frisnedahandles Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft’s business solution that supports both operational and administrative processes of organizations for the Latin American market. This builds on her commitment to using Microsoft’s products to aid small business owners during her 25 years in the IT industry. Before being promoted to this role in December 2013, she was CEO for Microsoft Venezuela. In that role she created a special division that cooperated especially with Venezuela’s public sector to help increase the amount of business with the government.Frisnedaholds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Universidad Central de Venezuela and an MBA from Venezuela’sSimón Bolívar University. Angélica Fuentes Executive President, Grupo Omnilife-Chivas Fuentes heads GrupoOmnilife, Mexico’s largest food supplement business with a presence in 22 countries worldwide. The company partners with independent sellers who market Omnilife’s products to their clients, though the products can also be found in stores. Fuentes began her career in the gas industry, and is very involved with female empowerment in Mexico. She holds a degree in Finance from the University of El Paso, Texas. G Luisa Garcia Partner & CEO,Llorente& Cuenca García has led Llorente and Cuenca’s Peru office since 2007, making the Spanish multinational telecommunications consultant the number one its sector in that country. García began her career in Spain and helped found the company’s operations in Panama in 2002. She holds a Bachelor's in Informatics, specializing in Advertising and Public Relations, from the Complutense University of Madrid, and an MBA from the Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile. She’s also done post-graduate studies at Georgetown University and the University of Phoenix. Mariela García de Fabbri CEO, Ferreyros S.A. García became CEO of Ferreyros in 2008 and has a 25 year career with the company. The Peruvian conglomerate is engaged in the import, distribution, sale, leasing and maintenance of construction, mining, agricultural, and transport equipment, primarily as a Caterpillar distributor. The company has revenues of $1.8 billion in 2013, making it the eleventh-largest company in Peru, according to LBC’s Latin 500. She holds a Bachelor's in Economics from the Universidad delPacífico in Peru, and an MBA from the Adolfo Ibañez University in Chile and the INCAE Business School in Costa Rica.

7. Maria das Graças Silva Foster CEO, Petrobras Foster heads Brazilian oil giant Petrobras – the largest company not only in Latin America, but all of the southern hemisphere – with revenues of $130.2 billion in 2012. She was elected to the position in February 2012 after a 31-year career in the company. With her election, she became the first woman to run a major oil and gas company. In the coming years she’ll be responsible for tapping Brazil’s vast “pre-salt” oil deposits. Foster holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, as well as a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Foster also received an MBA from the FundaçãoGetúlio Vargas. Louise Goeser President, Siemens Mesoamerica United States-born Goeser heads Siemens Mesoamerica, the branch of the German engineering multinational consisting of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Goeser has held the position since 2009, and is one of the first women within the company to work at that level. Before that, she headed Ford’s Mexico operations for three years, and head of Global Quality for Ford since 1999. She holds a degree in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Carmen Rosa Graham Board of Directors Camposol, Ferreyros, Interbank, and Nextel Graham is one of Peru’s most powerful businesswomen, serving on the board of directors of several large Peruvian companies, including agro-industrial company Camposol (since 2014), equipment-supplier Ferreyros (since 2011), Interbank (since 2007), and wireless company Nextel (since 2013). Before this she served as CEO at various IBM local offices in Latin America including for IBM Colombia and IBM Peru & Bolivia. She also served as President of Peru’s Universidad delPacífico from 2007-2009, and worked for four years with Peru’s ProMujer, which provides microfinance opportunities to empower Peruvian women. Graham holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Universidad delPacífico in Peru, and an MBA from Adolfo Ibañez Business School in Miami. H Gabriela Hernández Cardoso General Counsel, GE Latin America Cardoso became General Counsel for General Electric Latin America in 2013, a promotion she received after serving three years as President and CEO of General Electric Mexico. Under her watch at GE, the company’s industrial sector grew 25%. Hernández has a wealth of experience in both the private and public sector, having worked in several Mexican government ministries. She holds a law degree and completed post-graduate studies from Mexico City's EscuelaLibre de Derecho. Ernestina Herrera de Noble Owner, Grupo Clarín Herrera is the largest shareholder of Grupo Clarín, Argentina’s largest media conglomerate, and director of its flagship newspaper Clarín, Latin America’s most widely circulated newspaper. She has been at the helm of the paper since the death of her husband, Roberto Noble in 1969. In 2013 the Argentine Supreme Court voted against Clarín to apply a 2009 Media Law that declared Clarín a monopoly, forcing it to divest certain assets – the company is currently exploring which parts of its newspaper, cable, and broadband internet services it will hold, and which it will sell. Donna Jean Hrinak President, Boeing Brazil Hrinak has been president of Boeing Brazil since September 2011. In this role, she oversees the operations of the U.S. aircraft makers Brazilian operations. Before this role, she served as vice president of Global Public Policy & Government Affairs at Pepsico, and Director of Corporate Affairs for Latin America & Europe at Mondelez International. She has also served as U.S. ambassador to four Latin American countries: Brazil (2002-2004), Venezuela (2000-2002), Bolivia

8. (1997-2000), and the Dominican Republic (1994-1997). She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Science from Michigan State University, and a JD from the Notre Dame Law School. J NeiviaJusta Director of Communications for Latin America, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Justa leads communications and public relations for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Latin America, a post she has held since June of this year. Justa has a long history leading communications efforts for major corporations in the region, including working as Head of Communications for GEO Brasil for four years. Before this, she worked for 20 years in journalism in various capacities. Justa holds a Bachelor’s in Social Communication from the Universidade Federal do Ceará, and completed post-graduate work at the FundaçãoGetúlio Vargas and the Universidade de São Paulo. K Julie T. Katzman Executive Vice-President and COO of the Inter-American Development Bank Katzman has held her role – one of the highest at the IDB – since 2011, 18 months after joining the organization. In her current role, she is responsible for managing the overall operations of the IDB, and is focusing especially on pioneering an institutional transformation in measuring and reporting the bank’s tangible results through tools such as mapping software. Katzman began her career in investment banking, focusing primarily on private equity, developing expertise in financial structures across numerous industries. She graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and earned a Master’s in Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Alexia Keglevich CEO, Assist-Card International Holdings Keglevich is CEO of Assist-Card International Holdings, an international travel insurance company with offices to assist customers in over 100 countries. Founded by Keglevich’s father more than 40 years ago, the company was sold to Starr Companies in December 2011, though Keglevich has stayed on as CEO. Since the acquisition Keglevich has seen the company’s revenues and EBITDA grow by 20% in 2012, and 45% in 2013. Before joining Assist-Card in 2000, Keglevich worked in international banking with a focus on emerging markets. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communication from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, and MBA from Argentina’s Universidad Austral. M Adriana Machado VP Government Affairs & Policy, GE Latin America Machado was promoted to VP of Government Affairs & Policy for GE Latin America in August 2013 after serving two years as the President and CEO of GE do Brasil – the first woman to occupy that post. Machado joined General Electric in 2009 after a long career in government relations in the Brazilian tech industry. Machado holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the Universidade de Brasília. Violy McCausland Seve Partner, Violy & Co. A native Colombian, McCausland is the founder of Violy& Co., an independent United States-based investment bank focusing solely on Latin America. She has pioneered restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising for Latin American companies, and has personally led more than $65 billion in successful transactions. She is considered a hands-on expert on business in the region, and holds various awards and recognitions from governments throughout the region.

9. Cheryl McDowell VP of Finance and Business Operations Latin America, Oracle McDowell has served as VP of Finance and Business Operations for Oracle’s Latin America division for more than 16 years. In this role, she manages multi-country finance organizations for the software company’s Latin American and Caribbean markets. Before joining Oracle in 1998, she worked as CFO for American Express’s Brazil and Argentina subsidiaries. McDowell is a graduate of University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & French. María Fernanda Mejía President, Kellogg Latin America Mejía has been president of Kellogg Latin America since November 2011. A native of Colombia, Mejía received a Bachelor of Science degree industrial engineering with a concentration in industrial distribution from Texas A&M University. Prior to assuming her role, she held a number of positions in the Colgate-Palmolive Company throughout Europe and Latin America. María Murillo Finance Director, Microsoft Latin America Murillo is CFO, LATAM Region at Microsoft. Her responsibilities include finance oversight for Microsoft’s Latin American operations and the company’s nine subsidiaries within the region. Her responsibilities include leading the finance organization which provides the financial support for various divisions including sales, marketing, and services, as well as local statutory entities. Murillo has been at Microsoft for more than 17 years, and holds an MBA from the University of Florida. N Isabel Noboa CEO, ConsorcioNobis Noboa heads ConsorcioNobis, one of Ecuador’s largest companies with involvement in the real estate, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing sector that she founded in 1997. The company has over 8,000 employees and revenues of $600 million last year. Since 2001, Noboa has also headed FundaciónNobis, a social responsibility group.Noboa graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of London, and completed post-graduate studies in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Adriana Noreña Managing Director, Google Hispano-America A native Colombian, Noreña heads up Google’s operations in Spanish-speaking Latin America, a role she has held since 2011. Prior to her promotion, she headed Google’s Argentina office, as well as various sales and online operations positions in Brazil. Noreña has an MBA from Babson College, and a Masters of Technology Management from MIT. O Veronica O’Shea Vice President and General Manager, SAP O’Shea leads SAP’s Value Management Office, responsible for coordinating sales processes across all Market Units in the Americas to consistently deliver revenue results. O’Shea has a strong background in exceeding sales and growth goals, with a long career in software and consulting companies. P Anabel Pérez President & CEO, Novo Payment

10. Pérez leads NovoPayment, a company she co-founded in 2004. NovoPaymentis a technology services company that connects financial institutions, payment networks, carriers, retailers, governments and companies with banked and unbanked individuals across the Americas. Before founding the company, Pérez worked in retail banking with Banco Universal in Venezuela. She is a graduate of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. Claudia Politanski Vice President, ItaúUnibanco Politanski was promoted to vice president in February 2013, and has served as Executive Director of ItaúUnibanco Holding SA since 2008, where she also serves as its general legal counsel. She has worked at Unibanco since 1991. Politanski holds a Bachelor’s in Law from the Universidade de São Paulo, an LLM from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from Brazil’s Fundação Dom Cabral in Minas Gerais. R Linda Rottenberg CEO & Co-founder, Endeavor Rottenberg is the CEO and co-founder of Endeavor, an organization founded to help “high impact” entrepreneurs get off the ground, connecting them with international mentors and prominent local business people. While Rottenberg founded the company focused on Latin America, the organization now has offices in 17 countries, but still remains an important force in supporting entrepreneurship in the region. Rottenberg holds a Bachelor’s in Social Studies from Harvard, and a JD from Yale Law School. S Gema Sacristán Chief, Financial Markets Division, Inter-American Development Bank Sacristánmanages the Financial Markets Division of the Structured and Corporate Finance Department of the International Development Bank, a role she has held since 2008. Prior to joining the IDB, she worked for three years at BBVA in New York as Director of the Americas Export and Agency Finance Business, and eight years at Banco Santander in Madrid and New York as Vice President and Product Manager of the Structured Trade and Corporate Finance Department. She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration from Spain’s Universidad Autonóma de Madrid, as well as Master’s degrees in Sustainability from Cambridge University and in International Business from Spain’s Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Sacristán also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Finance from New York University. Anna Christina Ramos Saicali Chairman & CEO, B2W Ramos Saicali serves as Chairwoman and CEO of B2W, the largest online retail business in Latin America, whose parent company is LojasAmericanas. She is credited with keeping the company afloat despite a barrage of global competition, maintaining it as the 211th largest company in the region by revenues, earning $2.5 billion last year. She holds an undergraduate degree in the arts from the UniversidadePresbiteriana Mackenzie, a post-graduate degree in art and education from the Universidade de São Paulo, and completed the management program at Harvard Business School. Susan Segal President and CEO, Americas Society/Council of the Americas Segal has been head of AS/COA for more than a decade, having been elected to the position in 2003. In her role, she oversees an organization that is one of the premier forums for promoting business with Latin America, as well as education, debate, culture, and dialogue. Before becoming leader of AS/COA, Segal had a long history in the private sector working with emerging markets, and was particularly involved in the debt crises of the 1980s and 1990s. For her dedication she has received a number of awards, including Chile’s Orden Bernardo O’Higgins, Colombia’s Orden de San Carlos, and Mexico’s Orden Mexicana del Águila Azteca. Segal holds an MBA from Columbia University.

Claudia Sender CEO, TAM Sender was appointed CEO of TAM in May 2013, before which she was Vice President of TAM’s Domestic Business Unit since 2011. Sender is currently overseeing TAM’s merger with LAN, creating LATAM Airlines, which will be Latin America’s largest airline with sales of $13 billion. Sender holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Fabiola Sojet CEO for Northern South America, GE Sojet, a native Colombian, was made CEO for Northern South America in 2007. In her post, she oversees operations in Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, and Guyana. Sojet first joined GE in 2005 in the United States, but relocated to Colombia the next year following GE’s reopening of operations in that country. T Luiza Helena Trajano Magazine Luiza Considered the “queen of Brazilian retail,” Trajano heads Magazine Luiza, Brazil’s ninth largest retail chain. She is known for her personal touch at her stores, often personally greeting customers, and for an excellent reputation as an administrator. Magazine Luiza’s sales have suffered as Brazil’s economy has slowed, but Trajano is optimistic about the future of the chain. Trajano holds a law degree from the Faculdade de Direito de Franca in São Paulo state. Blanca Treviño Treviño is CEO of Softtek, Latin America’s largest IT service provider. The Monterrey-based company has 7,000 employees and does work in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. She became CEO of the company in 2000 after a 26- year career in the IT industry.Treviño holds a degree in Computer Science from the InstitutoTecnológico de EstudiosSuperiores de Monterrey (ITESM). V Sophie Vandebroek Chief Technology Officer, Xerox Vandebroek is CTO at Xerox, and president of the Xerox Innovation Group. She was named to both these positions in 2006. Throughout her career, Vandebroek was also responsible for overseeing Xerox’s research centers throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Throughout her long career at Xerox, she has advocated for the greater inclusion of women and minorities in the technology industry. Sandra Yachelini Regional Director for Latin American SMEs, Microsoft Yachelini took on the role of Regional Director for Latin American SMEs in January of 2013 after four years at the head of Microsoft in Argentina and Uruguay. Yachelini has more than 25 years in the software industry, and has demonstrated unique leadership according to the company. Yachelini holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Argentina’s Universidad Nacional del Rosario, and has studied several post-graduate courses in administration, economics and marketing at the Harvard Business School, London Business School and the IAE Business School.
