A study by researchers at the Salk Institute found that confining calorie consumption to an 8-12 hour period each day can help prevent obesity, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Previous research by the same group showed that mice fed a high-fat diet for only 8 hours per day remained healthier and slimmer than mice who had access to food all day. The findings suggest that both what and when we eat can impact our health.
