Project Experience
Dialog Axiata PLC Disaster Recovery Planning System
The system was designed during the internship program & functioning inside Dialog now. It is capable of handling
Huawei,ZTE & Ericsson networks ,both location wise & node wise disastrous situations.It can handle any amount of
Base Station Controllers (BSCs).Also it has full flexibility to add,remove or relocate the BSCs or locations.A user man-
ual was created & trained Dialog staff using presentations on how to use the system.It was coded using Visual Basic Platform.
Dialog Axiata PLC Site Management System
This system was designed for Access Network Planning & Optimization division of Dialog Axiata PLC. The purpose of this
project is to keep track of the site optimization procedure of 2G,3G & 4G sites & to take decisions accordingly.The antenna
details,height & type,physical location etc are recorded when a particular change is made to the existing system & data is
stored in a central database. I was assigned to design a part of the system using Javascript language.
Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) SCADA System Integration of Distribution Substations in Colombo City
This is an ongoing project which is to fulfill a national requirement as per the request by CEB.The main objective of the
project is to connect almost all the satellite substations of CEB to the Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA)

2. system so that the substations can be monitored and controlled remotely.This also has an Android application which provides
timely information to CEB engineers of which a part of the application was designed by myself.
Student Information Record System
A student information record system was designed with a graphical user interface.In the system,the user can add stu-
dents,remove or edit details of a particular student.Also the information of a student can be viewed by clicking on any
student name. It was designed using JAVA programming language and Netbeans IDE.The project was carried out in order
to fulfil a requirement of the module,Modular Software Development.
Implementing a Quiz Buzzer system using FPGA
The project was to design an efficient quiz buzzer system which helps to identify the winner even with very small time
gaps.User inputs were taken using push buttons & the results were shown in 7 segment displays.The system was coded
& synthesized using Verilog HDL & Xilinx ISE & the system was implemented in Basys 2 FPGA board and successfully
demonstrated.This was an individual project.
Task Oriented Robot
Designed and developed a line following robot which can grab some blocks using its sensors and actuators and bring them
to a specific place and drop them to its final destination.The robot was programmed using Arduino platform and coded us-
ing Arduino language.Was a member in the coding team.This became the third place among 20 groups in the mid evaluation.
Automatic Temperature and Light Controller
This electronic system was designed to regulate light and temperature using a PIC microcontroller.When the temperature
or light increases above a threshold,a fan and a light bulb will be controlled accordingly.The temperature was displayed in a
LCD.The PIC microcontroller was programed using PIC C programming language.Part of the code was coded by myself
