Brazoria County Sheriff Deputy Jason Anderson is seen here, texting me under false pretense. I have never met anyone named Jason Anderson who works for the Brazoria County Sheriff. Deputy Anderson claims he met me while I was riding my bike, but at the time he started texting me, my bike had been stolen 2 months prior. I never once gave any person my cell phone number while riding my bike. How did Deputy Anderson know that I would frequently ride my bike? How did he know I was single, or anything about me at all? He reveals in the following texts, that he got my number from the 911 call center I phoned, and that he was the responder who took my frantic call when my ex- husband Mike Phillips Jr., ran over my front gate, broke down my front door with a baseball bat, then trashed my property once inside, and then threatened my life.

Assignment 2: A Crime in Centervale
While patrolling during his shift, a Centervale police officer, Detective Johnson, saw two men standing on a street corner. Johnson observed the two proceed alternately back and forth between the street ahead and the corner, pausing and returning to conference. Detective Johnson found this strange as the Love's Jeweler shop was down the street. The two men repeated this ritual alternately three to four times, which appeared as if they were looking out for someone or were about to steal something. Detective Johnson saw a third man approach and handing something to one of the two men, which he stuffed into his pocket.
Detective Johnson approached the three men and identified himself as a policeman. He saw the man that stuffed the item in his pocket place his hand in his pocket again. Detective Johnson kept his eyes on the man and asked their names. Before they could answer, the detective turned the man around, patted down his outside clothing, and felt a hard object. The man objected saying, "Hey man, you can't do that. I have rights. I want my lawyer." Detective Johnson sneered, "Oh! you'll get your lawyer." Upon feeling the object, the officer removed his gun and asked the three to raise their hands and place them on the wall. The officer patted each man down and found a gun in the pocket of one man. He removed the jacket of another man and found a diamond ring in the inside pocket. The third man did not have anything in his pockets.
The three were taken to the police station and charged with grand theft and burglary. One of the men was also charged for carrying a concealed weapon. Detective Johnson ran the information concerning the gun and found that it matched the gun related to an aggravated battery and rape case from a year ago. The detective questioned Danny, the man who had the gun. At first, Danny did not want to say anything, but the detective continued questioning him. After three hours, Danny confessed to the aggravated battery and rape case. He denied being involved in the grand theft and burglary.
Danny had a first appearance in the court within three days, whereupon he is appointed an attorney but denied bail. Danny does not see his attorney until the next court appearance. The attorney asks what he wants to do and Danny said, "I want to fight it man." The attorney tells Danny, "That's not going to work; the DA is offering you a good deal if you plea." Over the objection of the victim in the court, the DA offers Danny probation if he testifies against the other two in the burglary case. The DA wants the other two to be sentenced to ten years in that case. While shaking his head, Danny pleads guilty above the cries of the victim. The DA asks the judge to hold off on sentencing until after he testifies in the other trial.
After Danny testifies against the other two defendants and they are sentenced to ten years, Danny goes back to the court. The judge, not agreeing with the deal, decides to sent.

Violet is a 20-year-old woman with a history of difficult relationships. She was in foster care from 12 to 18 years old. She attended a career college and is employed as a dental assistant. This is her first real job. She was referred to you after a patient at her dental office had a stalking complaint. She apparently began dating a young man (John) after meeting him at the dentist’s office.
When she arrives for her appointment with you, she is dressed provocatively in a low-cut blouse and tight pants. She has heavy eye makeup on and seems to be very needy, becoming tearful several times during the session.
At the start of the interview, she states that this thing would not be a problem if those “idiots” in the office were not jealous. She reports feeling like they were talking about her and feeling like they were out to get her. When asked why they would want to get her, she states that all girls are like that. She reports early sexual abuse in her home by an uncle. She also reports conflict with her mother. Apparently she had been in an incestuous relationship and had gained favor from her uncle. She would receive cash and get to go out to eat with her uncle, who was abusing her. She stills denies any abuse and claims that he was only 12 years older t ...

Murder or Suicide Scenario Details
You are investigating the death of Reginald Ayers. Mr. Ayers was a 64 year old man who appeared to
be in excellent physical condition; in fact, he appeared to be almost 20 years younger than his stated
age. He was the sole owner of a software development company with yearly earnings over two million
dollars. He is also the company’s sole software developer.
Mr. Ayers has a $500,000 life insurance policy out on himself. He was found dead in the study of his
large expensive home. His body was discovered Monday morning by his 32 year old son Phil.
Mr. Ayers was shot once in the right temple with a handgun. The handgun was found clutched in his
right hand. The fatal wound is in his right temple, with an exit wound through the left temple. He was
sitting at his desk. The deceased is survived by his second wife (Anna, age 26) and his 32 year old
son Phil from his first marriage (both Phil and Anna shared the same residence with Mr. Ayers; neither
Phil nor Anna work; both were supported by Mr. Ayers). Phil and Anna will split the proceeds of the life
insurance policy. Both Phil and Anna were out of town Sunday night (the time that Mr. Ayers died) in
different nearby cities; Phil was attending a seminar on self-confidence and Anna was staying over
night with a female friend from college. Neither has an iron clad alibi, since it is possible they could
have left and returned unnoticed.
Your investigation uncovers the following additional facts:
The deceased was a fitness fanatic, working out constantly.
The gun and ammo was purchased by Mr. Ayers two weeks before his death.
The toxicology report revealed the presence of pain medication.
The autopsy reports the discovery that the deceased had cancer of the testicles, level 3. The cancer
had spread to his liver, lungs and brain. Treatment would consist of surgery to remove the cancerous
testicles and radiation/chemo-therapy to try to control the cancer in other parts of his body. Testicular
cancer is rare in a person Mr. Ayers’ age and treatment involves multiple negative side-effects; his
prognosis was not good, despite his physical condition.
Mr. Ayers had a 22 year old college co-ed as a mistress--he paid all of her bills, including rent and
school expenses. She stated that their affair was primarily physical and that the deceased had a
"strong sexual appetite." She stated that about six weeks ago he began to complain about pain in his
groin during/after sex and two weeks ago he stopped seeing her without explanation. She is not
named in his will, has nothing to gain from his death, and has a strong alibi for the time of his death.
The deceased's doctor is willing to reveal that he gave Mr. Ayers the diagnosis of cancer two weeks
ago. There is no evidence that suggests that Anna or Phil knew about Mr. Ayer’s cancer.

Will A Person's Education Level Affect His Possibility of Committing A Crime?
A well-established research on the correlation between education and criminality by Lochner (2020) brings out interesting results on this issue. The researcher examined the changes in the compulsory school learning (CSL) laws that ensure individuals are forced to stay in school longer than they would voluntarily choose to. Also, he examines how policy-induced measures help reduce crime by enhancing awareness creation and focus on education to provide platform for understanding the society in wider perspective. Additionally, he looked into the aspects of wage in the organizations as a direct influence of good lifestyles free from criminal activities. With all these critical points analyzed in the study, it became evident that education helps curb criminality by a substantive amount in the society (Wright et al. 2001).
First, the CSL laws confirmed that education has influence in eradicating criminal activities since the individuals were actively engaged in learning for considerable period of time. Then, they can apply knowledge obtained in school to undertake innovative practices. The innovative practices will provide incomes to them thus opting not to engage in criminal activities. Secondly, in the aspect of classic Becker model of crime, individuals who have secured jobs from education will opt to focus on work to improve their productivity and make their lives better. In this case, they will analyze the cost-benefits of employment and criminality (Cho, 2011). Since employment provides wages that sustains their lives, they opt to avoid criminality since risks include lack of freedom, jail term and death (Brown, 2001). Lastly, engaged individuals in schools learning or in workplace, lacks adequate time to allocate for criminal activities. Thus, it is evident education greatly lowers criminal behaviors (Cook & Kang, 2016).

The rapist has left DNA evidence in twelve of these attacks. Although DNA has been links these attacks to each other, it has not yielded an identification of the rapist.
General Motes Operandi
A. He generally watches the women so he knows their pattern of coming and going. This can be over several days, or several hours. For example one woman was attacked while she was moving from one apartment to another complex. The rapist timed the attack so that the woman’s husband and 14 year old son had just left the apartment.
B. Most of the attacks occurred at or near garden apartments, townhouses or condominium complexes.
C. He will rape more than one woman in a single attack.
D. He threatens to hurt or kill the woman. No woman has been injured beyond the sexual assault.
E. He frequently removes one shoe and a pant leg from the victim to hinder her escape.
F. Rapes occur in either apartments, or the women are removed to close but isolated locations, such as behind a stores or local woods.
G. He often attacks woman at night in the dark. During day time ore indoor attacks he wears a mask, or has the women cover their faces with pillow cases or their own shirts.
H. In several attacks the rapist complimented the woman, saying that they were "fine", and suggesting that in his own mind there was some mutual pleasure.
I. He speaks with an accent, but he has “turned it on and off” throughout attacks.
Specific Crime Descriptions
A. A 35-year-old woman fought him off. The rapist approached her as she entered a townhouse community after getting off a bus. He implied that he was lost. He put her in a headlock and led her to a wooded area. The woman, who was in the military, wrestled a six-inch serrated knife from him. She told police that she tried to stab him and that he insisted he was "just playing" and ran off.
B. In an apartment complex e grabbed the woman from behind and wrapped his arms around her. She thought ...

“she and LaShadion began arguing over text messages she was receiving
from another male. LaShadion demanded that (redacted) show him the

tried to take her cell phone away from her and the two began struggling
over the cell phone. According to (redacted), LaShadion threw
(redacted)into a kitchen wall where (redacted) head struck a window

because they don't even live together and that she didn't even know how
to label her and LaShadion.” “LaShadion was driving, he stopped at the
stop sign located at Smith Street / N. Railroad Street, and back-handed
(redacted) in the mouth causing her lip to bleed.” She did “fight back
and hit LaShadion in the mouth causing his mouth to bleed. The two

On 101507 at approximately 0500 hrs., the complainant and the
defendant arrived back at her residence after having spent the night at
the defendant's mother's house in McKinney. The defendant told the
complainant to set the alarm on her cell phone in order to wake him up
for work. The complainant had led the defendant to believe that her cell
phone had been disconnected for regular phone service.
The complainant retrieved her phone but it was immediately taken from
her by the defendant. The defendant began to check phone numbers on
the phone and questioned the complainant as to who the male callers
were. The defendant picked up a kitchen knife and stated that if she did
not tell him who "Brent" was, he would stab her. The defendant pushed
the blade of the knife against the complainant until she answered his
questions.
The defendant began punching, slapping and kicking the complainant
causing her bodily injury. The defendant then stated that the complainant
needed to go into the bathroom and the complainant complied. The
defendant continued to question the complainant who was not answering
said questions. The defendant pushed the complainant down by the neck
and said he was going to kill her. The defendant told the complainant to
get in the shower while telling her that he was not a joke and she should
not play with him. While the complainant was in the shower the
defendant walked out of the complainant's residence. The complainant
exited the shower and locked the front door and then locked herself in
the bathroom. The complainant dialed 911 on her phone and as soon as
she did so, the defendant kicked in the front door to the residence.
5. The complainant dropped her phone into the trash with an open line. The
defendant asked the complainant if she called the police at which time
he grabbed their son and put him in the car. The defendant told the
complainant to put on some clothes and as she did the defendant grabbed
her by the hair which caused her pain before pulling her outside. The
defendant stated that he would kill their son if she did not get in the car.
The defendant then forced the complainant into the car by punching her
in the stomach. The defendant then drove (redacted) in McKinney. Once
there the defendant stated that he would cut the complainant's hair or
pour hot grease on her. He further stated that she needed to clean his
mother's house and call the D.NA people to determine the paternity of
their son. The defendant then went to work and the complainant called
the McKinney police.
