This document defines and provides examples of subjects, predicates, and sentences. It explains that the subject tells whom or what the sentence is about and can contain multiple words. 1. LANGUAGE

2. THE SUBJECT
 The subject is the part of the sentence that teels whom or what
the sentence is about.
 All words in the subject are the complete subject.
 A simple subject can be more than one word.

3. EXAMPLES
 Nicole is having a talk with her mother and her father.
 Mateo love the pizza and the hamburger
 Jose David and Julian are in the patio playing soccer.
 Ebelin, Alice and Ma. Gracia were in the movies
 Lucy and Aria like to eat pop corn.

4. THE PREDICATE
 The predicate is the part of a sentence that tells what the subject is
or does.
 All the words in the predicate are the complete predicate.
 The most important word in the predicate is the simple predicate,
or verb.
 A simple predicate can be more than one word.

5. EXAMPLES
 Sebas was jumping in the bed.
 Violeta was singing in the bathroom.
 Emilio is in a party with some friends.
 Ariana Grande is very famous.
 Taylor love to help the people.

7. COMPARE AND CONTRAST
Compare and contrast is to tell how two or more
thing are alike and also how they are different.

8. EXAMPLES
 Brazil is in South America and Spain is in Europe.
 Maria is tall while Juanita is very small.
 Jessica and Juanito enjoy playing soccer.
