Adecco Global Social Recruiting Survey Global ReportBenjamin Crucq
Whether you're a Job Seeker or a Recruiter, this study has some key insights for you.
Job Seekers: get the most out of the unlimited opportunities available through the proper use of social networks.
Recruiters: find out how to improve the quality of your professional social media practices.
Some background
The digital age is transforming the recruitment industry, allowing companies to reach targeted candidates and create new forms of employer branding, as well as helping candidates interact with their potential future employer. Recruitment is more dynamic than ever due to the uptake of social media, both for small businesses, as well as large corporations. For job seekers, social media is a valuable tool to find opportunities and advance careers.
The study
Recruiting is increasingly social and Adecco wants to know how it works. We conducted a survey between March 18 and June 2, 2014, collecting responses from 17,272 candidates and 1,501 recruiters from 24 countries. We want to understand how candidates search for jobs on social media, which tools they use, and how they present themselves online. We also interviewed the recruiters to discover how companies operate on social media, which tools they use, and what they look for in their recruiting process.
The study looks at a global, regional and local level on the areas of
The use of social media
The effectiveness of social media in matching job seekers with open positions
The importance of web reputation
The social capital of individual candidates
How recruiters explore the web when looking for a candidate
First, finalize the construction place and gather tools like a measuring tape, trowels, and buckets. Second, mix cement, sand, and water together thoroughly. Third, lay bricks according to a video on brick laying techniques and cement them using bonding methods, then sprinkle water on the bricks for several days to cure and increase the concrete strength over time.
The forest is in danger as the temperature rises, which causes a lack of food for animals and plants and takes away living spaces. Excess water from higher temperatures causes flooding that makes the ground hard and sterile, unable to support life.

This document discusses the differences between interpreting and translation. Interpreting involves orally communicating the exact meaning and tone of a spoken message between languages, either simultaneously or consecutively. Interpreters must bridge cultural gaps without resources, while translators can research when working with written text. Effective interpreting requires linguistic and cultural knowledge, background information, language skills, and adherence to codes of ethics like impartiality and active listening.

This document provides guidance on improving writing style through eliminating certain common grammatical constructions such as passive voice, the verb "to be", ambiguous language, and pronoun disagreement. It offers examples of weak constructions and rewrites them to be more concise, clear, and analytical. Key advice includes using strong active verbs instead of forms of "to be", establishing clear subjects for actions, and varying sentence structure to avoid repetition. The document aims to help writers strengthen their analytical style.
The document outlines activities for an English language session. It includes instructions for students to describe how their lives have changed over the past ten years using past, present and future tenses. Students are also asked to complete conditional sentences using verbs in brackets and choose the correct option for comments. The final activity involves students putting verbs in brackets into gaps to form conditional sentences using will in the main clauses.
This document discusses user experience (UX) and how it is often misunderstood or not properly implemented. UX involves extensive research like field studies and usability testing to understand users, but others see it only as interface design. The document advocates for a lean UX process of quick iteration through sketching, low-fidelity prototyping, testing, designing, and more testing before launch. It provides resources for learning UX best practices like reducing iteration time and using empathy maps to better understand users.
The document outlines the production details for a 5 minute short film titled "The Break Up" including the target teenage audience, production company, director, editor, and cameraman. It also lists props and cast but provides no further details on those elements.
This document summarizes ports under the management of Pelindo III, which is headquartered in Surabaya. It lists the ports in Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, and Bali. It then outlines Pelindo III's strategies to improve ports, which include reconfiguring major ports to dedicated terminals, developing minor ports, and expanding ports in strategic locations. Key port expansion projects discussed are in Samarinda, Balikpapan, Sampit, and Lamong Bay.
This document outlines Dr. Elena Gonzalez's workshop on creating an effective curriculum vitae for a career in science. The workshop covers determining the appropriate content sections for a CV, such as education, research experience, skills, awards, and publications, and providing examples of how to describe each section. The document also discusses common CV formats and styles, and encourages attendees to choose a format and include relevant and consistently formatted content to highlight their qualifications and experiences for a science career.
The Spirit of Barnabas is a presentation of encouraging words and testimonies from various authors and leaders in the faith community. Editors Linda and Cee are celebrating 15 years of producing this magazine.
The document discusses the effectiveness of combining a main film product with ancillary texts like a poster and film review. It provides details about the objectives of the ancillary tasks, which were to promote the film on multiple platforms both visually and through text to reach a wider audience. It discusses how the poster met romantic comedy genre requirements by separating the characters, using relevant fonts, images of the characters in costume, and a brick-like background. Font choices and relevant images used in the film review are also described, along with consistency in the black, white and blue color scheme between the poster and review. Logos and social media links were included at the bottom of the poster to allow readers to learn more online about the film.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.

Jaunākais pētījums par Latvijas mazākumtautību līdzdalību apliecina - īstenotā sabiedrības integrācijas politika nesusi pozitīvus rezultātus
2017.gada aprīlī - augustā veiktā pētījuma "Mazākumtautību līdzdalība demokrātiskajos procesos Latvijā" rezultāti apliecina, ka īstenotā sabiedrības integrācijas politika ir nesusi pozitīvus rezultātus: ievērojami palielinājusies mazākumtautību pārstāvju piederība Latvijas valstij un lepnums par Latviju, latviešu valodas lietošana, būtiski samazinājies cilvēku skaits, kuri izjūt nostaļģiju pēc Padomju laikiem, mazinās mazākumtautību pārstāvju vēlme aizbraukt no Latvijas ," vērtē Kultūras ministrijas (KM) valsts sekretāra vietniece Inita Pauloviča.
Salīdzinot ar 2015. gadu, šogad ievērojami palielinājusies mazākumtautību pārstāvju piederības sajūta Latvijai: 84% respondentu jūtas cieši vai ļoti cieši saistīti ar Latviju, 2015. gadā šis rādītājs bija 67%, savukārt 2013.gadā - 69%. Ciešāku piederības sajūtu Latvijai izjūt vecāku paaudžu respondenti, tomēr pēdējos gados ir ievērojami stiprinājusies arī mazākumtautību jauniešu piederības sajūta Latvijai.

Semantics in Visual Perception: Methodological Remarks, Issues and Perspecti...nacionalaidentitate
The document discusses methodological issues in researching the interaction between visual perception and semantics. It provides an outline of key topics including: (1) the role of psychophysics in visual perception, (2) how semantics arises from visual grouping, shape assignment, and meaning assignment processes, and (3) the role of invariants, affordances, events, and experience in visual perception and the emergence of meaning. The author argues that visual perception involves hierarchical processing from low-level stimuli to higher-level semantics and that experience holistically influences how meaning arises from visual information.
