The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national scholarship program funded by the Government of India's Department of Science and Technology. It aims to support students showing aptitude for research careers in science. Students in Class 11, 12, or 1st year undergraduate programs in basic sciences can apply. If selected, scholars receive monthly stipends and annual contingency grants of Rs. 5000-7000 and Rs. 20,000-28,000 respectively for undergraduate and postgraduate studies at top research institutes across India. The program includes opportunities like direct admission to institutes, summer camps, lab access, and fellowship renewal based on academic performance.
