PAUSD pays springshare.com $2000/year for as many LibGuides as our schools choose to create. However, if you would like to use PAUSD’s LibGuides, it won’t cost you a penny!

Title II of The Broadband Improvement Act deals with promoting a safe Internet for children and specifically "Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to require elementary and secondary schools with computer access to the Internet to educate minors about appropriate online behavior, including online interaction with other individuals in social networking websites and in chat rooms and cyberbullying awareness and response."

It covers: online safety; authenticating online information; recognizing online marketing ploys; protecting privacy; managing online relationships; dealing with cyberbullying. Five different activities will also cover social networking, detecting online advertising ploys, authentication skills, smart web surfing, safe use of instant messaging including how to deal with strangers and cyberbullying, in modules developed for grades 4-5 and grades 6-8.
