Korea has many historical and cultural attractions that immerse visitors in its rich history. The Anajapji Pond is an artificial pond constructed in 674 during the reign of King Munmu in the ancient kingdom of Silla, and was part of the royal palace complex. Pohyon Temple, founded in 1024 in North Korea, was bombed during the Korean War destroying over half its buildings, though several have since been reconstructed. Dadohaehaesang National Park is South Korea's largest national park known for its scenic sunsets and diverse flora as well as ancient mysteries within the park.
