E-Books for Amazon Kindle
In a nutshell: Amazon Kindle users find content on MyMediaMall, check it out, and
the content is delivered to the Kindle by Amazon.com. Some E-Books require
Kindle users to transfer via USB.
We always
want to sign
in first. The
sign in link is
at the top of
every page.

By signing in,
you get to see
content
exclusively for
Wilmette &
Kenilworth
Cardholders.
Now let’s
execute a
search for
content.

I always
recommend
doing an
“Advanced
Search”
because we
can limit our
search to
formats
compatible
with our
device.
You can search by title, author, or subject.
Remember to limit your search to Kindle E-Books. This is the format
compatible with the Amazon Kindle products.
You can also choose E-Books that are available now.
This is our search results screen. Take note of the icon in the upper right hand corner
of the books. These icons differentiate between e-books and e-audiobooks.
Let’s click on Gone Girl. Note the important information in the right hand sidebar. It notes
how many copies are available in what formats.
Let’s click BORROW.
Now let’s click “Go to Bookshelf.” From our Bookshelf, we’ll choose the format. The
Bookshelf can be accessed at any time by clicking the Account button at the top of the
page.
From the Bookshelf, you can choose your format. As Kindle users, we must choose
Kindle books. Choose carefully. Once you’ve made a choice, it cannot be undone.
Choosing the Kindle format will reroute you to Amazon. Amazon manages
the lending of the Kindle books available through MyMediaMall.

Clicking “Get Library Book” on the right hand side will prompt you to log in
with your Amazon ID, choose your device, and deliver the content via WIFI.

Note: Kindle Books can be returned by visiting the Manage Your Kindle Page.
Some Kindle books can only be transferred via USB due to publisher restrictions. Take
note of the red text in the format box.

Amazon has provided instructions (with video) for this process:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200505520&#usb
