There are four kinds of sentences.

Interrogative sentence

A sentence that makes a statement or assertion is called
assertive or declarative sentence.
Assertive sentence ends with a 'full_stop'.
Examples:
He goes to school.
I need a new bag.
Interrogative
Sentence

A sentence that asks a question is called
interrogative sentence.
Interrogative sentence ends with aquestion
mark.
Examples:
Where do you live?
Do you use your laptop?
Imperative Sentence

A sentence that expresses a request,command
or advice is called an imperative sentence.
Examples:
Be quiet.(an order)
Please help me.(a request)
Exclamatory Sentence

A sentence that expresses strong feeling is
called an Exclamatory Sentence.
Examples:
What a sham !
That is fantastic!
