Present Responsibilities / Job description
 Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Chennai agency as per the Principals and the
Managements short and long term plans.
 MIS preparation for Principals and Management on regular basis.
 Supervision and management of all departments of the agency and ensure its smooth functioning.
 Representing the agency in the Port, Customs, Trade Bodies and organisations.
 Preparation of a Sales plan to meet to the Annual business plan in consultation with the Sales Team,
o Sales strategy (by trade, sector and segment).
o Budgets/Targets - volume/revenue/contribution - in total and for major accounts.
 Key Account Management planning with the Sales team and targeting fresh accounts/business.
 Monitor and review sales performance of individual sales staff quarterly, including Volume targets/
contribution achieved and implement of corrective action in the sales plans, business / contribution
generated, sales leads, customer satisfaction levels etc.
 Providing excellent customer service to all customers to maintain and further increase customer
support.
 Ensure conformation to Documentation procedures and SOP’s of all the Principals are fully understood,
and monitor its compliance.
 Assess proposals for waiver of charges (demurrage/ detention/local charges/ credit) and approve/reject
or forward with recommendations to the top management or principals.
 Claims handling for Container or Cargo damage/shortage with Customers, the Customs and any Legal
authorities.

 Participating in tenders as a Freight Forwarder for PSU’s and Government organisation’s Project and OD
cargo shipments and ensuring follow up of the tender process and execution of the business secured.
 Evaluate Team performance and encourage the personal development of the staff in all departments,
