This document outlines an orientation for a training program on teaching reading for tutors. It provides the dates and objectives of the training which are to express expectations, identify outputs and outcomes, and demonstrate understanding of the training objectives. Participants will share in groups what they know about teaching reading, what will make the training successful, what they expect after the training, and what preparations they made. They will report their group's responses and discuss how the activity helps achieve the objectives. The expected outputs are profiles of participants, reflections on skills, and demonstrations of teaching reading. Finally, participants will write commitments to make the most of the training.
